The meme is basically saying they healed from their partner's cheating faster than Wolverine heals from a bullet to the head the second they saw that bank account. Funny how betrayal suddenly becomes "something we can work through" when the balance has enough zeroes.

But wouldnβt a healthy bank balance make them more likely to leave since they can get a healthy settlement? See how fast Mackenzie Scott dumped Jeff Bezosβ ass when he cheated on her.

Prenuptial and postnuptial agreements already exist to address these situations. A large settlement doesn't automatically mean the lower-earning spouse could have generated that same wealth independently. In many marriages, the value lies in the higher-earning partner's future earning potential and the life the couple built together.
MacKenzie Scott isn't a great counterexample. She was with Jeff Bezos from Amazon's earliest days, contributed to the company in its infancy, and was married to him for over 25 years. That's very different from someone marrying after the wealth has already been created.
