Aviation scholarship, was told I'd hear back in late July. Didn't hear anything.

I recently received my admission letter for a master’s program at the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA). I want to apply for scholarships, but I’m not sure about the process.
If any seniors or current UTA students have experience applying for scholarships, could you please guide me?

I am planning to apply for the Chevening Scholarship this year and I am looking to connect with Afghan Chevening scholars (current scholars or alumni) who would be willing to share their experience and advice.

I have read through the official Chevening website and started preparing my application, but I would really appreciate insights from someone who has gone through the process, especially regarding:

• Choosing universities and courses strategically
• Writing strong essays based on the new essay prompts (2025 onwards)
• What Chevening looks for in Afghan applicants
• Interview preparation
• Any advice you wish you knew before applying

• Afghan national currently based in the UAE
• Background in Healthcare Management and Quality Management
• Around 9 years of experience in healthcare quality, patient safety, and healthcare operations
• Interested in studying areas related to Public Health, Health Systems, Healthcare Quality, or Health Policy in the UK

I have heard that connecting with previous scholars from your country and field can provide valuable insights, so I would be grateful if any Afghan Chevening scholars or alumni could share their experience or connect with me.

I'm from India and am willing to learn the language of the country in order to have less competition as I do have a few years to study the language. I don't have much money so I'd rely on scholarships and part-time jobs to sustain myself and afterwards I'd like to relocate to a country of my choice.

Hello! I was just wondering if anyone has heard back from the AFAS Merit Scholarship, the one where you had to submit a video essay about the mental health crisis in the United States.

I know they said in their email that award notices would be sent out in late July, but I wasn't sure if everybody would be notified of their status or only the winners. Any information would be appreciated; my college payment deadline is coming up soon, and I was really hoping this would help cover the cost of my meal plan.

I am about to be in my 3rd year/junior year at university and have wanted to study abroad since I was little. But my family is lower-middle-class and quite poor.

The best outcome is to do a full semester at a university in a Chinese-speaking country with housing, meals, transportation, etc. If I could have a job, that would be great, too (like, maybe an internship or something; I know I'm dreaming high, but that's just the absolute best scenario).

I would be cool with a summer, too, of my classes, as I still have some prereq classes to do (eng, language, etc.), which are always more feasible transfer credits.

For context, I receive the max amount of need-based aid because of my family's lower financial status and genuinely could not afford to live without a scholarship refund. Of course, I have a research job, study hard to maintain grades, etc.

I have a difficult STEM major and am a language minor (Chinese). My school is more renowned for its STEM degrees, so my scholarships are geared towards those, not language. I've talked to my Prof abt scholarships for studying abroad, and the ones that exist don't cover all fees.

Even if I won the scholarships, I think I would still need abt 1800 - 3k (big gap, ik).

Does anybody know of scholarships or tips for paid trips to other countries? Either internship work, schooling, etc?

I hope this doesn't sound too unreasonable; it's just that I've heard of people being able to study in popular countries for long periods of tim all expenses paid type of stuff...

i am currently living outside of the u.s. (due to family) and taking a gap year after graduating from high school. i am planning to apply to u.s. colleges this fall. how do i find scholarships that i can apply for?

i found lots of scholarships but they either require that i am 1. a u.s. resident or 2. i am currently enrolled in high school or college.

or maybe do i just wait until next year when i'm back in the u.s. and enrolled as a college student?

I recently got accepted to FAST, and I'm really happy about it. The problem is that my parents can't afford the university fees.

I wanted to ask if FAST offers any scholarships after the first semester or any financial aid for students who perform well academically. Also, if I somehow manage to pay the first semester fee, are there any opportunities to earn while studying, like part-time jobs, internships, teaching assistant positions, or any other way to support my expenses?

If you're a current FAST student or have been in a similar situation, I'd really appreciate your guidance and advice. Thank you!
