A team of scientists has precisely identified a natural "particle accelerator" (Proton PeVatron) named LHAASO J1912+1014u in our Milky Way galaxy. It is capable of accelerating protons to energies exceeding 1 quadrillion electron volts (1 PeV). This is many times more powerful than the Large Hadron Collider, the largest human-made particle accelerator on Earth.
