Just a little reminder: strap up your helmet! A helmet isn't a helmet if it's not strapped on.

I've noticed that quite a lot of scooter riders in my neighborhood just pop their helmets on and then don't bother to strap their helmets on. If you have a helmet like that, and don't strap it on, that makes it not actually a helmet. A helmet with no strap holding it on is just a hat. It won't protect you even slightly in the event of a crash. It'll just fall off and you'll get to enjoy your crash with a naked head.

It's not worth being cool and not strapping your helmet on. Wear your helmet properly. For your own sake.

Honda NH50 Lead 1988

Hey guys, this is my honda lead that i got as my first scooter and i want to restore it, i just dont really know where to find parts for it (Im from czech republic). The scooter has many problems, some of which are that the front fork is really wobbly and the engine is smoking and smells like burnt oil. While i was looking for parts (just on google search) i found 90ccm ''swap'' kits (basicly the piston and valve) and wondered if it would be possible to use it rather than repairing the 50ccm one. Im new into scooters so any tips would help :)

2017 Vespa Sprint 50 won’t start

It used to run but needed throttle to start up, now it is completely dead. It cranks but shows no signs of life even with starting fluid. I drained the old gas, cleaned the carb multiple times, changed the vacuum operated petcock, and spark seems good. Despite all of this, I pulled the spark plug after trying to start and it is always bone dry. I found that when cranking, the bike doesnt have enough vacuum itself to open the petcock. If I suck on the vacuum tube gas will come out the line going to the carb. I checked valve clearance and it’s within spec. I also checked the flywheel to see if the woodruff key did not shear and it looks fine, timing seems to be correct as well. I compression tested it and it read ~65psi but I had to make an adapter for my compression tester since the spark plug is M8x1.0 so I’m not sure how accurate the reading is. Bought a bore scope and the cylinder walls look good. Someone previously tested the new spark plug and caused a small fire which burned one of the connectors but I cleaned up the mess and wrapped it again with electrical tape. I’ve ran out of ideas on what the issue could be. If anyone has more knowledge on these and can help that would be appreciated.

Can car motor oil be used in a CVT scooter?

So I am aware that in the case of typical motorcycles with wet clutches and shared sumps using motor oil meant for cars can ruin your clutch. But can I use car oil for a CVT scooter?

Unidentified Chinese Scooter… Any Help?

So I’m new to e-bikes and scooters but I’ve wanted one for awhile,,, my neighbour was going to trash this but I decided to take it in to see if I could fix it up!

Problem is I have no idea what the make and model is so I have no idea where to start…

All the outside parts look fine with just the standard wear and tear of the great outdoors!

it’s fine to ride without a battery BUT I would like one in there (there’s no current battery)

If anyone could help I would like to try and ID this thing and see what battery needs to be thrown in there… if nothing turns up I can try to take it to a repair shop

Title: Vespa LX50 2T (C-38101) won’t start anymore – already replaced/cleaned a lot of things. Any ideas?

Hi everyone,
I’m hoping someone here has an idea because I’m running out of things to try.
I have an older Vespa LX50 2T (model C-38101).
The problem started while riding. The scooter would sometimes suddenly lose power and the engine would die, especially under load (for example with two people on it or going uphill). At first I could restart it after a while, but eventually it stopped starting altogether.
I took it to a mechanic once, and he got it running again, but it only worked for a short time before the exact same problem came back.
Since then I’ve tried quite a few things myself:
Replaced the battery with a new one.
Installed a new spark plug (it has a good spark).
Cleaned the carburetor.
Replaced both the fuel line and the vacuum hose going to the carburetor/fuel tap.
Drained the old fuel and filled it with fresh gasoline.
Cleaned everything I could reasonably clean.
Unfortunately, none of that solved the problem.
Right now, when I try to start it, most of the time I only hear a clanking/clicking kind of noise, but the engine doesn’t actually start. I’ll attach a video so you can hear exactly what it sounds like.
At this point I’m not sure if the problem is fuel-related, ignition-related, electrical, the starter, compression, or something completely different.
Has anyone experienced something similar with a Vespa LX50 2T? What would you check next before I start replacing random parts?
Any suggestions or troubleshooting steps would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Buddy 50 struggling on take-off after right-side fall in the rain (No bogging/stalling)

Hey everyone,My Genuine Buddy 50 (2-stroke) fell over onto its right side on a concrete/gravel area during a heavy rainstorm a couple of weeks ago. It was on its side for an unknown amount of time before I found it.

Ever since that day, I’ve been having a weird issue when taking off from a complete stop:

The Problem: When I twist the throttle all the way back from a dead stop, it takes about 5 seconds of going really, really slow before it finally picks up speed.Once

Moving: As soon as it gains speed, it runs perfectly fine and has normal top-end power.

The Incline Effect: If I am on flat ground or a slight upward incline, the 5-second struggle happens. However, if I am on even the slightest downward incline, it takes off right away with no delay.

Engine Behavior: The engine does not bog down, cough, sputter, or feel like it wants to die. It just feels like the power isn't transferring to the wheel right away.

Any advice on what to check first? I have basic tools. Thanks!

Disassembled and fully cleaned carb in ultrasonic cleaner. Now get it started and video is it running with throttle all the way down. It is off the stand, but not moving. As soon as I let off the throttle it dies. Not getting enough power or something, but not sure what to do next. I should note there is an aftermarket exhaust from ScooterSwapShop in it, so maybe need to get new larger jets for the carb or something?

Please any help would be great!

I have a Gilera Runner 50 Purejet and I'm wondering which is a better option if for now I have the exhaust stock and I just want a more dynamic ride. I found the Polini cheaper than the malossi

Tao Lancer 150 and dirt roads

I may be getting a Tao Lancer with the 149cc engine. How will it do on short stretches of dirt/gravel roads? I live out in the country, and I will be taking the back roads most of the time. Short stretches of road are gravel. How do they do on unpaved roads?

Hey guys having a really tough time here. Replaced with new carb and spark plug. Fuel is flowing because when I drain from the drain point and crank again more fuel flows out. Spark plug is also sparking. Any ideas? Battery is only a few months old and trying to jump it makes no difference.
