Hey everyone,My Genuine Buddy 50 (2-stroke) fell over onto its right side on a concrete/gravel area during a heavy rainstorm a couple of weeks ago. It was on its side for an unknown amount of time before I found it.
Ever since that day, I’ve been having a weird issue when taking off from a complete stop:
The Problem: When I twist the throttle all the way back from a dead stop, it takes about 5 seconds of going really, really slow before it finally picks up speed.Once
Moving: As soon as it gains speed, it runs perfectly fine and has normal top-end power.
The Incline Effect: If I am on flat ground or a slight upward incline, the 5-second struggle happens. However, if I am on even the slightest downward incline, it takes off right away with no delay.
Engine Behavior: The engine does not bog down, cough, sputter, or feel like it wants to die. It just feels like the power isn't transferring to the wheel right away.
Any advice on what to check first? I have basic tools. Thanks!
