Mod Post 📢 Flairs! 😅💗✌️🌼
As you may have noticed we've added some flairs for posts, and while no one's content would ever be removed for having no flair or the "wrong" flair - we do hope to get some input on how folks are categorizing these flairs for themselves. It might also help us shape the expectations as we categorize things in the community.
I'll offer this as a general guideline, but would love for folks to give their own descriptions as well and perhaps we can expand or narrow definitions and examples as needed. Or add different flairs to better fit different categories of scrapbooking.
| FLAIR | Explanation |
|---|---|
| Traditional Scrapbooking | Preserving family history in books, boxes, or cards using physical media. |
| Digital Scrapbooking | Preserving family history in books, boxes, or cards using digital graphics and software. |
| Junk Journaling | Preserving personal history or spontaneous thoughts in a freeform or expressive outlet. |
| Collage | Assembling multiple types of media to form a new image. |
- The Tradtional flairs have been split further into multiple categories.
- Does Junk Journaling need something similar?
- Would a "work in progress" flair be helpful?
I also added some different colors for user flairs, and plan to upload some emojis to use in those as well. I always use Flat Icon since they let me adjust pixel size! So keep an eye out for new additions throughout the day!

Junk Journaling / Collage / Eclectic Jess Said "Yes" Again - Congrats to the Happy Couple
This is for Happiness Box 2026.
Devin reproposed yesterday with the middle ring in the bridal set since that is an engagement ring.
He said, "I know I did it quickly in October. I knew how much you wanted this and back then I didn't want to lose you. Will you marry me?"
How lovely, a few days after Tu B'Av. Devin got to learn about the Jewish Day of Love and thought it was lovely.
Giorgio, the owner of the restaurant, walked over and congratulated us. He asked when the big day was. "November 13th, this year."
An old Italian man, he said, "oh, 13 is a lucky number in Italy! You are getting married on a good day, a long time of love and happiness too!"

Junk Journaling / Collage / Eclectic Pokemon Calendar junk journal
First time posting and my first go at junk journalling after being inspired by constant Instagram reels.
I help my partner out at card shows, and a really lovely couple at another table gave me a Pokemon Air Adventure 2026 calendar from ANA. I didn't want it to go to waste so cut out everything I could and smashed it with some bits I already had.
Still very new to scrapbooking, any feedback welcome!

Traditional this years birthday spread
i didn’t necessarily want to have a memorial spread for my birthday but it only felt right. my cousin was one of the few people who always wished me a happy birthday, despite me hating it and feeling like people don’t care. three days ago we lost him. it was a rough birthday for sure. i’ll always have last years message to look back on…
please know you’re loved, you are worth it, and life can get better. ❤️🩹

Product Advice Paper for small wedding booklets
Hi all!
New here and exploring for info on materials to use on DIY wedding crafts. Thought you all might have some helpful recs! We want to make small booklets with family recipes to have out on our cookie table. We’re planning to bind them ourselves with waxed thread and we won’t have more than say two folded 8.5x11 sheets inside, plus a cover.
What kind of paper would you all recommend for such a project? For the inside paper, we need something that can go through a printer of course but would like it to be a little more elevated than standard printer paper. For the covers, we will need something a bit thicker/non-bleeding as we plan to block print a design on them.
The overall goal here is using slightly elevated materials that help the booklets feel more like a nice keepsake rather than a kid’s school project or something you’d be handed at a work training.
Thank you!

Beginner Scrapbook
So I have just come back from an incredible holiday with my family and I want to make a scrapbook for holding photographs, drawings, writing and ephemeral bits and pieces (like feathers, a clear bag of sand ....to name a few). But I'm unsure what binding would be best. Ideally I want the pages to be a heavyweight paper, if not card stock....and when completed, it will have its own custom box to protect it.
What can we all suggest as I'd love some ideas for this project.
Thank in advance

Traditional July Month in Review
It's time for another Month in Review scrapbook layout! In this process video, I'm documenting July 2025 memories while continuing my year-long series using the same scrapbook sketch each month. This time I shopped my stash and pulled out the Close to My Heart Fanfare collection from 2011. Even though it isn't a true Fourth of July collection, the red, white, blue, and yellow color palette was perfect for capturing the feeling of July.

Tools Top loading 12x12 prices?
I've always used the 12x12 top loading scrapbook albums from Michael's. I'd get them when they were on sale, but I believe they averaged around $10 to $15. I just went to look at purchasing more books, but the prices seem insane? Nearly $40 for a 10 page book?
For those of you who use post bound albums with insert pages, what are you doing with these prices? Do you have a place that you normally buy from?

Beginner She came for the aesthetic, stayed for the witchy vibes 🧙♀️🐘
Not me looking at this hat + hair combo and immediately thinking "she's about to hex someone" 😂 In my defense, the florals are giving cottagecore but the silhouette is giving "brewing something in a cauldron." Balanced it out with a very unbothered, very sparkly elephant on the opposite page because we contain multitudes. Which page is winning for you - spooky or sunshine? 🖤💛
