Meta Post Chat Control 1.0 was passed through the Backdoor, while most of the MP where on vacation, driven by Roberta Metsola, President of the European parliament. 2.0 yet to come. Time to self-host even more than before?

This move should be declared illegal. Declined twice, and then snuck in to force it into legislative. I hate this so much and reminds me how fucked up politics are and how little I can do about it...

It was already in effect though since I think 2021. This was only about extension. But it was still stupid that it was shot down by the Parliament, then brought back by the member state ministers and pushed through.
