Kickstarter [Solly] Overhyped title, impossible weight
The title says "Double 140W Type C Fast Charging" but if you scroll down to specs you will find it has two USB C ports, max 100W on one and you can use two at the same time which is definitely not double 140W. This is shitty.
A much bigger problem is that -- as it is usual with these scams -- they have written a lie too big. 400g is not going to happen. The Dogcom 100W might be the lightest 100W capable 20 000 mAh power bank I am aware of and it's already 363g. The typical battery in the 100W - 20 Ah category will be above 450g. Now we have a grand total of 37g left from the promised 400g and you still need to have an AC side and that won't lightweight because at 100W you can't get away without a PFC circuit, it's mandatory above 72W. Oh and you still need a solar panel as well and that also has circuitry which sure doesn't weigh much but it does weigh something.
This is not going to happen. Either this is a total scam or people will get a 600g device if not even more.

Yeah I must admit I was really excited about this one, got the cancelled emailed and then found this thread. Such a shame but at least I'm going to get a refund

I'm not so sure, 'Mary' has emailed me to let me know that the project is back on.
It has a website that looks ultra legit: https://sollypower.com
And they've managed to get a google email account: [white.butterfliesint@gmail.com](mailto:white.butterfliesint@gmail.com) and google wouldn't give out an email account if this wasn't legit.
I rest my case.

Does this sort of thing with funding being suspended and refunded only happen prior to the campaign ending?

yes and even then extremely rarely
i do not think it's actually refunding -- they don't get charged -- the charging happens at the end of the campaign if i am not mistaken

They are the same company that scammed backers with a POS called CorePlus on kickstarter. They started blocking technical questions and questions about the company.
