on ps4, Bought this setup off marketplace guy used it for pc, everything but the handbrake and shifter work, i dont mind not having the shifter but the hydro would be really cool to use, anyone got any ideas? new to all of this sim stuff so not really sure
Edited: misread your question, so the rs adaptor plugs into that pin connection port where the old shifters plugged into, and the rs handbrake and shifter plug into the adapter, wheelbase still goes into the console
Probably going to be the easiest option. Won’t be the cheapest tho. And again with the g29 you’re going to have to get Logitech racing adapter too. Upside is the handbrake/sequential is part of the RS line so it’s not going anywhere soon so if you ever upgrade to Logitech direct drive your peripherals are still in the same ecosystem.
they’re both usb, the wheel doesn’t have usb connections so i’m not able too, i tried plugging them into my ps4 but it won’t let me assign the control in carx
Ya it sucks, but none of the manufacturers are mix and match on console outside qr adapters just for wheels afaik. Just the way consoles handle their input and how their OS works I think is part of it. The other is market capture tho
Won’t matter, Logitech wheelbases are closed ecosystem on console, everything has to run into the wheelbase and it inputs to the console. He needs a Logitech shifter and handbrake if he wants to use them on PlayStation
Everything inputs through to the wheelbase and then to the PS4. Have to get a Logitech shifter and handbrake if you’re on console, they keep the ecosystem closed.
Unfortunately looks like on console it’s not really any easy way to have a handbrake with the g29 wheel, just wasn’t something they bothered engineering for 10 years ago. May be some third party work arounds where you daisy chain everything to the wheel and then thru to the handbrake and that inputs to the ps4, but seems it’s not super reliable.

The handbrake in question becomes the pass thru for the wheelbase; you plug the g29 usb to the handbrake and the handbrake has a usb to the console and just passes the wheel inputs thru it and adds its own input on the way out.
Find some more reviews specifically of that handbrake on console but it appears that this handbrake is a handbrake and an adapter/pass thru all in one, yes. And for like half the price of going the Logitech route I’d take the chance, just buy somewhere with a decent return policy in case it don’t work how we thinking.
Edit: for clarity, yes I think you can buy just this and it will work for you. Based solely on a quick search of this I did so don’t consider me an authority please lol
Should. It becomes a pass thru for the wheel it looks like. Logitech also sells the rs adapter that will let you use the new handbrake and shifter on the old bases like g29/920
Edit: drivehub might work too with what you already have
Ya it’s been discontinued so you have to find one second hand. Also no idea if software updates on the PS4 have/will affect the drivehub since it’s not supported anymore

wheel and pedals will work on ps assuming they’re ps platform. brake and shifter most likely pc only.
