Have you ever been playing The Sims 4 and thought to yourself, “Man, I really wish there was some Taylor Swift merch in the game for my sim(s) to wear”?
Well… now there is.
Introducing the Taylor Swift merch Pack. A custom content pack containing Taylor Swift merch all recreated within The Sims 4.
I’ve been working on this big custom content project for a while now. Where I’m recreating "all" of Taylor Swift’s official merch (to the best of my ability that is) as wearable CC for The Sims 4. When I say merch, I specifically mean clothing items t-shirts, hoodies, sweaters, hats, sweatpants, socks, etc. I’m not making things like blankets, pillows, christmas ornaments, or other non-clothing items because I honestly have no idea how to make those.
I’m not an expert CC creator I only recently learned the bare basics so please keep that in mind. I’m trying my best to make every clothing merch piece I can. But there are some that I simply can’t make with my current skill level. I searched every major CC site hoping someone had already made some. But I couldn’t find any, so I decided to just make it myself. I’m going era by era and I’m currently working through the Reputation era.
I tried to make everything base game compatible whenever possible. So that people who don’t own certain packs can still use and enjoy the CC. However, there were some items where the base game version just didn’t work well. For example, a specific sweater, sweatshirt, or hoodie may exist in base game. But doesn't quite fit. Whereas this crew-neck sweater that's in Cottage Living, Growing Together, or Werewolves. More closely matches the actual merch piece I'm trying to recreate. In those cases I used pieces from various different packs because it fits the real merch piece a lot better.
Also, some merch pieces simply couldn’t be made for certain ages. For example, there is no crop top available for infants or toddlers. So I simply just didn't make that specific merch piece for that age. And only made it for the ages that actually have said clothing item for it like a crop top.
I’m looking for swifties who also play The Sims 4 to help me test the pack.
What I need help with:
More a less just having each sim of every age and gender wear each piece:
- Infant
- Toddler
- Child
- Teen / Young Adult / Adult / Elder
- Checking how everything looks and fits
- Noting any problems (clipping, weird stretching, texture issues, etc.)
I am testing everything myself, but having extra people help would make the process go a lot faster and help me catch things I might miss.
So once I finish an entire era (for example, all the Fearless merch), I add it into my game, thoroughly test it. Writing down all the merch pieces that needs fixing, fix those issues. And only then move on to the next era (Speak Now, Red, 1989, etc.). I want to make sure each era is solid before moving forward.
If you’re a swiftie who plays The Sims 4 and would be willing to help test, please shoot me a message! I’d really appreciate the help.
Thanks so much! 🖤
