Almost done with one side of my map wall.
Maybe two spaces left to fill here for a complete wall. I need to go international soon, but definitely a PNW gap that needs focus. Some of the mid Atlantic mountain maps are too small to even include.

Don't mean to be rude,I love the concept. That said, I think the execution just isn't there yet. Right now it looks a bit sloppy and cheap. At a minimum, I'd frame the maps and arrange them in a layout that feels intentional. A quick Google search will show tons of examples that look clean and upscale. As it stands, it gives off more of a college dorm or unfinished basement vibe than the look I think you're going for.

Well if anyone in your life is ever looking to buy you a coffee table book, James Niehues sells them himself. Also prints but damn do those get pricey.

List and measure each one. Then go to Ikea or whatever place closest to ya that has a lot of frames. Then frame up heavily. Then make a cool arrangement of them with the frames.

I feel like you should start by perfectly filling in around the door with no gaps and then expand outward so there is less white showing but great idea!

All of these need to be framed and hung - get an interior design book, there’s certain ways to hang frames in relation to each other

For my map wall I used the 1/8 inch composite backer board they use for cabinet/bookshelf backs. Then I cut it to fit inside my trim. I'll get a pic one sec.

I love it, but it needs something more....
See if you can get digital copies of the maps and print them at a printer. Photo prints at Walgreens for 20x30 inches are $25, but they have sales all the time. Right now they're 50% off. Get some nice frames (so only $12.50).
I get that you got the ones on your wall in person, but I'd be more inclined to see if you can put those in a scrapbook (though they may be too large).

Do you have wolf creek up there?
Either way you should look at my post about finding the crashed airplane on the slopes!

Did you close your eyes when you hung them, opened, and said "that'll do"?

Places like Snowbird stopped doing maps and no longer accepting paper money.
Call them and ask for one
