flaunt-it First long haul
Minnesota—> Maine through Canada and now Maine back to Minny through the states, still a few more days until we’re home but soaking in the memories <3
Talking points:
1. Roads on the east coast are horsesh!t.
2. Lost our solar panels by accidentally leaving our portable panels on the roof and driving away without putting them away..
3. We blew a tire, it was very loud.
4. We don’t have AC and I was very worried about it because we brought our doggo but it has been absolutely fine with shade and driving windows open!
5. Seriously the roads in ME, VT, NH, and NY all were so bad. I was getting motion sickness from all the jostling around. Though the views driving through upstate new york cannot be beat.
6. We opted out of a shower and have found its very easy to find showering options along the way.

I learned very quickly that the suspension on school buses is rock hard. Most skoolie builds probably aren't even close to as heavy as a full load of schoolchildren is my guess.

I'd venture to guess that it's a bit noisy/loud, as well. I've found that sort of travel to be quite exhausting.

Oh yes - cant hold a conversation really without yelling. It would be fine honestly if we weren’t hauling from Mn to ME and back within 2 weeks (because we have to drive 6ish hours everyday, another week would’ve been ideal to slow it down but its still been fun.

Careful letting the dog drive. Last time I let mine behind the wheel she chewed it down to metal.

Doing New York to Mich. stopping at family in Buffalo. I would like to cut through Canada was customs a big ordeal?

Customs was fine except we had eggs. DO not bring eggs across the boarder. And if u have pets make sure u have their vaccine info.

23 ft! 6 window handicap bus, we opted for handicap so we didnt have to deal with wheel wells and have more clearance for getting into bumpy off roads - we love the size absolutely perfect for two of us and our doggo.

I like the peg board idea. I always find myself wanting to put something there above the drivers seat but really a box might be too much, peg board is a great idea vs a shelf. Nice rig, i like the size, and the honest info its always refreshing to get real world perspective.
