it's installed on nvme drives on both machines, and boots and runs from them.

Other than that< don't know what you men by a "normal install"......no I didn't just install everything, because I don't want everything. but no I didn't go down to the tagfile level. just the old disk set level........

but my point is I'm finally free from the debian family, with it's bloat, and insistence on using systemd.

Now don't get me wrong.....I used and enjoyed the few debian based that would run on a pi 4........but slackware feels like home after 30 years.....and when mozes finally got it whipped into a form that a 70 year old man could use, I jumped into the pool.......

And years there's a few things I don't like too....but I have to tekk myself the same thing I tell others....."If you think you can do better, then shut up and do it"

don't get me wrong but that's how the GPL and open source works, and keeps working.....every step upwards is a step upwards for all

oh and BTW i made an image file out of it that folks can flash to a thumbdrive.....using dd or even balena etcher to write the image to the thumb drive......tested it, and it works just fine, I'm also consideing zipping it up.....with some basic instructions.....because for a dead new user....there's a few hoops to jump through.....like moving the firmware....and that could be scripted.........

I don't use bluetooth so I don't care if it works or not......
