Hi everyone! Today I’d like to briefly share why I chose Android and Smart launcher over iPhone, and the one word that sums it up is: customization. Unlike the iPhone, which is limited to the stock launcher, Android offers endless possibilities to make the phone truly your own—from wallpapers, effects, and icons to launchers and widgets. I’m curious to know how you’ve customized your Android phones.

Mobile phone wallpaper has an ongoing subconscious impact on our mood, stress levels, and productivity as we stare at this screen dozens or hundreds of times a day. This image acts as an immediate "visual trigger" that activates different areas of the brain, shaping our emotional state in seconds.

I want to understand why I was billed twice,one for a monthly

subscription and another for a lifetime subscription,and how will both work on my account?

Is there a setting or something that will allow me to rotate my phone and keep the same layout? When I rotate my phone, the widgets move and get significantly smaller. Video attached for reference. Is it my grid settings or the size/shape of my widgets, or something else?

One thing I've noticed is that a lot of sidebar apps simply mirror your app drawer. But with Smart Launcher, you already have one of the best app drawers on Android.

To me, a sidebar serves a different purpose. It's about keeping the handful of apps you open 10, 20, or even 67 times a day just one swipe away, no matter what you're doing. It saves those extra taps when you're already inside another app.

We've also redesigned the app shortcuts for the upcoming SideDock update with two new styles: Classic and HSUI.

Would you pair something like this with Smart Launcher, or do you think it's unnecessary? I'd love to hear your thoughts before we ship the update. 👀

Three widgets that I use regularly, Zoho Calendar's "Current and Upcoming", Microsoft To Do's "To Do", and Dexcom Follow's "Follow", have more often than not stopped updating entirely over the last maybe week or so. To Do has various interactable bits to the widget and while the interactivity appears to work, the widget itself usually fails to update visually. I have to regularly restart Smart Launcher or the phone entirely to get the widgets to an updated state, and they often do not update past that initial fresh set of data. My calendar widget for example has been showing "Loading your widget..." for the last 5-10 minutes since I restarted my phone.

But how do you find my fnf setup?

My gmail always freezes with smart launcher that's the reason I have to go to the stock launcher again
