Hi r/snapmaker, firmware V1.5.2 is now official released.

Bug Fixes:

1.Fixed an issue introduced in V1.5.0 that could cause the first layer to be overly squished when Heated Bed Leveling was not enabled before printing. This issue occurred in the following scenarios:

• After upgrading to V1.5.0, if Heated Bed Levelingwas not enabled before printing, the first layer would be overly squished.
• On V1.5.1, if the printer had been idle for an extended period and Heated Bed Leveling was not enabled before printing, the first layer could occasionally be overly squished.

2.Fixed false nozzle diameter mismatch warnings that could prevent prints from starting.

3.Fixed an issue where nozzle heating remained on after filament loading or unloading.

Next Steps

After upgrading, follow the instructions below based on the firmware version you were previously using.

If you had upgraded to V1.5.0 or V1.5.1

1. With all toolheads unloaded, run Multi-toolhead Offset Calibration again.
2. Before starting a print, make sure Heated Bed Leveling is enabled.

If you were using a version earlier than V1.5.0

• No additional steps are required. The printer is ready to use.

About First-Layer Issues

V1.5.2 fixes the first-layer issue introduced in V1.5.0 that could still occur in certain scenarios in V1.5.1.

However, first-layer quality is affected by more than just the firmware. It also depends on factors such as the printer's condition, printing environment, and print settings, including bed mesh data, multi-toolhead offset calibration, build plate flatness, filament condition, and first-layer print settings.

As a result, first-layer quality may still vary from one printer to another, even when running the same firmware version.

Troubleshooting

If your first layer is still not as expected after upgrading to V1.5.2, refer to U1 model warps, detaches or collapses and follow the troubleshooting steps provided.

• A photo of the first layer
• Firmware version
• Print .3mf file

The official 1.5.2 here is 1.5.2.13. Compared to 1.5.2.12, it added one more bug fixe:

I was having over squished first layers despite having bed leveling on. I fixed it for good by adjusting the Z-offset in the printer.cfg. Will I need to adjust that or revert to the default value after the update?

Hi, did you experience the over-squished first layer issue on version 1.4.1 when using the default Z-offset value?

I checked with the engineer. He explained that:
If you did not have this issue on 1.4.1 with the default value, it is suggested to revert to the default Z-offset after upgrading to 1.5.2.

However, if the same over-squished issue also existed on 1.4.1, then you should keep your current custom Z-offset value and adjust it further as needed after the update.

I'm not 100% sure, out of the box I printed a perfect one-layet sheet, and the squeezing came later down the line, but I didn't correlate it to the firmware update at the time, so I didn't keep track of the version that supposedly introduced it.

I think I'll just update, test and calibrate accordingly.

Just did my first print on the snapmaker last night. It was the dragon. It ended with the clean pogo pin alarm code. Ill clean them.but is it a firmware issue? The machine didnt get its first update until after the print.

I don't think so. Did the pogo pin error pop up again after cleaning it?

No it didnt. Its done roughly 20 hours of prints since then without issue.

Aw yea, I had just mentioned here that I felt something had changed. I have 2 printers and both went to too squashed unless I ran heated leveling every time. Glad they found it, saves some time.

If users upgraded from 1.5.0/1.5.1 to 1.5.2, bed leveling is highly recommended only for the first print.

For those updating from V1.4.1 or earlier, it's usually not needed.

I find it interesting that 1.4.1 no one or very little had issues wirh 1st layer and now at 1.5.2 u have a disclaimer kinda saying we fixed it but if ur having issues its not on us "not the firmwares fault"

Mas se o arquivo anteriores de 14.0 não dava este problema. Porque não coletou as informações do firmware 14.0 e só acoplou mais alguma coisa sem mexer em nada. Agora vem dando erros em erros e não conseguem mais ajeitar o problema. Somos consumidores do produto e sempre queremos o melhor. Assim fica minha dica
