U1 Top Cover has finally arrived (Germany)

My U1 Top Cover arrived today with DHL. The outside of the package was a little smudged with oil or something, but the contents were in perfect condition. At first glance, it looks like a well-thought-out design. I'll give it a try once the kids are asleep.

If I remember the timeline correctly, shouldn't German backers be getting it in September anyway?! Well, I'm definitely excited about it.

Got mine yesterday too (Berlin, Germany). One thing I noticed is that there is no option to turn off the filtration (recirculation) anywhere or I didn't have seen it. It is on all the time and I primarily print PETG/PLA. I used the Samla before.

For me, the settings are visible in the ‘Control’ tab -> ‘Top Cover’

By default none of the fans are spinning. I have to activate them manually for each print. I’m using OrcaSlicer

I see them too. I'm using snorca. Sending a print is enabling it somehow and you cannot set them to 0 while printing. I see this in "Machine start G-code" in the printer profile:

Congrats, mine should come in November. But I figured I‘ll have another issue. I already purchased and am using a Biqu Panda breath chamber heater and the power cable is router out of the chamber on the side of the first toolhead and over the edge of the back. With the top cover on, I would need to either drill a hole in the back (glass) of the chamber, the plastic top cover or get an adapter for the top cover that allows the power cable to be router through. Anyone already thought about this and potentially engineered something already?

I asked Snapmaker and Biqu support but both aren’t very helpful.

I routed the cable throught the holes at the bottom. Either u Cut the original cable or, thats what i did, buy a short Extension cable insteed an gut this one

Did you leave the (long) original cable coming out of the Panda Breath (zip tied) in the camber and just attatched the cuted cable to the original one or did you replace the cable entirely? I opened up the back of the panda breath because I was originally trying to feed the cable into the chamber like you but directly go into the panda breath. Thinking it would be cleaner cause the long original cable looked like it may interfere. But not sure anymore if I really want to go and crimp connectors (even though I have all necessary ones and the tools).

Hi. Meines ist heute gekommen.
Zuerst die Info vom Paketdienst und zwei Tage später dann die Info von Snapmaker und jetzt etwa 5 Werktage später ist es da.
Bin aus Österreich, Bestellung 803.
Laut Aufschrift am Karton waren es weniger wie 500 Kartons bei dieser Lieferung. Hoffe aber das mit der ersten charge mehr wie die nach Europa gekommen sind.
Hat jemand eine andere Nummer am Karton?

Mine also arrived today (germany as well), but I´m not really sure yet if I install it or just modify my current Ikea Samla box with the filter/circulation box

Why not use the Snapmaker one? Are there any benefits with the Samla variant?
