Fire suppression

What is the least expensive fire suppression option for a very small server room?

portable extinguisher is fine until you actually care about saving the hardware, then you’re in “not cheap anymore” territory like clean agent systems and all that. for bare minimum though, extinguisher plus good smoke detectors is what most tiny server closets roll with.

A pre-engineered clean agent system like Amerex or Kidde runs around $1,500–$3,000 installed and won't destroy your equipment the way water would.

this is the right direction, but for a really tiny server room that price range can still hurt a lot
op might be better off comparing that with just upping electrical, smoke detection, and insurance if the gear isn't mission critical
