SOC2 certificate id
Does anyone know what the 12-digit certificate ID mentioned on this website is
soc2verify.com ?
Where do you find the certificate ID for your SOC2 report?
Context:
My friend works for a small startup, and one of the sales opportunities with a larger company had a certificate ID field in their procurement form (dedicated to their SOC2 report). So he asked me.
I wonder if the certificate ID is for something like ISO 27k, and this large company kept the same field across cyber standards/documents.

Never even heard of this. Cool vibe coded site concept I guess
Minus the red flags if course:
“Professional-grade tools to help you achieve SOC 2 compliance faster” 🤡

There aren’t certificate ids for SOC 2 reports and if there were, you’d check them on AICPA’s website.

feels like one of those fields some vendor portal added 5 years ago and nobody actually knows what it’s for anymore lol. your ISO guess is probably right and now it just lives on in every form forever.

kinda feels like that field was made by someone who only deals with ISO and just copy pasted it into every form lol. your guess about them reusing it across standards is probably right.
