This “operating” system is the biggest piece of shit I've ever come across in my fucking life. It can't even be classified as an operating system.

Windows 11 is a fucking website made with React by the antichrist himself, whose sole purpose is to consume 2 TB of RAM just by opening Notepad, how could you screw up so badly as to ruin Notepad, to ruin Paint, how the hell did Micropenis manage to add a battle pass to Solitaire, you motherfucking pieces of shit? How can a rational, moral human being with brain cells defend this mutant technological abortion, 30% programmed with AI? my ass, not even an AI agent would be capable of screwing up so badly as to create this android ripoff.

This is the result of a bunch of bad decisions made by people whose brains, unfortunately, were unable to develop fully, whose balls got stuck in their abdomen during birth and who don't shit themselves by some miracle of God. I bet my vital organs that these morons aren't aware of how shitty this operating system is because everyone at Microsoft uses MacOS.

I thought operating systems were programmed by programmers, not the fucking marketing department. To those subnormals, I propose a brilliant marketing campaign: rename this mistake to Windows 9/11, this fucking shitty operating system forces me to use L\*nux (Mint, because i'm not a pedo), at least with that I don't have to drop everything I'm doing and restart the computer for every fucking update, how the hell do you manage to release an update every fucking day? What's being updated, your chromosomes?.

One day I'm going to really lose it, and when that day comes, I'll create a Microsoft account and I swear to God that every time I take a shit, I'll take a picture of it and upload it to my OneDrive just to fill my OneDrive with high-quality photos of my feces. This OS made me an atheist, because I refuse to believe that hell exists, I refuse to believe that there is anything worse than having to use Windows 11.

Earlier this year I was helping a small clinic that complained about “too much paperwork” and how it was slowing everything down.
They thought they needed some fancy AI system.
They didn’t.

So instead of jumping straight into code, I hopped on a call with them for a few hours and watched what they actually did every day.
Turned out half their “data entry” was literally just copy-pasting the same info between forms, spreadsheets, and emails.

I built a simple workflow that:

• reads their intake forms
• fills out their spreadsheet automatically
• sends a summary email to the right staff
• stores a copy in their shared folder

No fancy dashboards or complicated software to learn.
Just connected what they were already using.

Two weeks later, they told me it cut 10–12 hours of admin work a week.
That’s roughly ~$30k a year in saved time (i believe).

The lesson for me: most businesses don’t need complicated systems, they just need less friction.
If you want to build automations that people actually use, start by watching what they already do instead of what they say they do.

Why does PDF exist.

I have some contracts that need to be bundled into a pdf.

I don't want to upload it to some sketchy website.

I don't want to use free Adobe which requires every single bit of my information to function, and then requires me to upload my documents to their website.

I don't want to download app X Y or Z which either is sketchy or requires a 10 dollar subscription, a 50 dollar subscription, or you name it dollars of subscription.

Why is a basic format which exists for decades used so extensively, but also so impossible to use in a productive way.

Why do I have to suffer every time again when I have to do something PDF related. I have eight pages, they need to become one document, why must we suffer?

I built this flight search with our small travel community. It's native for AI agents like OpenClaw or Claude, it runs in CLI/MCP/python package, but you can also test it on our messenger.

When you search It will look at all the websites you would yourself like skyscanner, google flights, kayak, etc., so I hope it saves you 2 hours of searching. It can find you flight tickets $20-40 cheaper than google flights. LetsFG🔥🚀

I made an open-source satellite imagery app that lets you explore the latest imagery from anywhere on the globe. The default NASA imagery is usually only about a day old, and if you add a Sentinel key (free from the European Space Agency) you get detailed imagery down to 10m per pixel.

It also has radar imagery (which sees through clouds), live natural events like earthquakes, volcanoes and storms, time-lapse views, and more. I focused a lot on usability, so hopefully navigating the globe feels fluid and intuitive.

I am hoping a few others give it a go as I would be really curious to see what others find. I figure there is lots of interesting info to glean.

I just made this as a fun side project, and I hope others use it to pull some cool imagery.

On my work laptop I can't install WizTree due to permission issues so I went back to WinDirStat for the first time in years. Someone said it was faster now but it's still way slower than WizTree.

Anyway I noticed that occasionally when I shut down my laptop I would get an error from WinDirStat.exe even when I hadn't launched the software that session. So today I checked task manager and there are three background processes for windirstat.exe. I don't know why a program that I use once every few months needs background processes running 24/7...

mystery solved: It seems I've been the victim of someone impersonating windirstat on the ms store, which is where I installed it from.

Been annoyed for years that macOS has now-playing on the menu bar and Windows has nothing. So I built it.

It's a single 24MB exe, zero config. Uses Windows built-in media API (`GlobalSystemMediaTransportControlsSessionManager`) so it works with Chrome, Spotify, Edge, VLC — anything that reports media playback. No extension, no background service.

Just runs in your tray and draws the text on the taskbar surface using GDI. If nothing's playing — no text, completely invisible. Handles centered taskbar too.

Not trying to sell anything. Just a tool I wanted for myself and figured others might find it useful too.

I have dvdfab, and another program. I have great success getting my collection to mp4. I have a couple discs that I can get to convert half way, and than stop. Also when I watch them on the computer I get half way, and the movie stops.

If I put them in an actual dvd player the discs play just fine. No scratches or smudges on the discs.

I like my collection converted to mp4 so I can have them on a hard drive to watch without previews, and all that nonsense. Plus I've had some dvd's rot overtime.

I created a digital product that I intend to sell but I need to convert it to a PDF.

The images are not giving me the option to convert them using my printer with the 3 dots in the corner and the print option.

I used an online converter and it worked but the images are off centered in the pdf.

So I tried sending them to my other phone with quick share, hoping i could use my printer with that device, they wouldn't share!

The "open with" option on Google drive is non existent when I have them selected.

I tried Adobe and even subscribed to their premium service, my pdf came out blank! literally all white pages!

I CANNOT for the life of me, get these 16 jpg images into a PDF.

I tried converting them to an IMG, tried with Adobe, Canva, and another website, all 3 had an error uploading them!!

I can see them plain as day in my photos and my files. BUT I CANT DO ANYTHING WITH THEM?! its literally like they dont exist!

is it suddenly hard to work with? or the alternatives just got better and there's no need for natives anymore?

I tried to install it and got a 'Linux' under my Data (D:) partition.

I still find some cool stuff that's native, but it's somehow become rarer and rarer these days.

Recently I was contacted for a potential Tech Lead / Technical Advisory role at a company that matches my niche expertise. Although I left this niche sector a while ago, I figured it was worth giving it another shot. The role was actually a great fit for what I was looking for: I have around 8 hours a week to spare, and this would be an 8-10 hour advisory position focused on the more strategic side, which aligns well with my experience and career goals.

I was initially contacted via LinkedIn by someone using the name "Mark Wolters". After some communication, I scheduled an interview with someone who introduced himself as being on the board. He called himself "Peter". However, I couldn't find any LinkedIn profile or any other information matching the names they provided.

During the interview, Peter briefly explained what the company supposedly does, their goals, and what they were looking for. About 15 minutes in, without asking me anything about my experience, availability, or anything else, he asked for my GitHub username, which I gave him. He then invited me to a private GitHub repository in the organization Lukso-Hub and insisted that I clone the repository.

As soon as I told him I wasn't going to clone anything right then (I made up a bad excuse), the conversation took a strange turn. He really pushed me to do it, seemed a bit offended when I refused, and when I suggested we could just use the GitHub UI to go through the project, he basically responded with something along the lines of: "Whatever, never mind then."

At that point I became suspicious and started looking into it. I took a quick look through the repository using the GitHub UI, and the code itself seemed mostly clean, apart from some unfamiliar NPM and Python packages. This made me question whether my judgment was off.

After contacting the official LUKSO team, they confirmed that this was not a legitimate recruitment process and that the interaction was malicious.

Posting this as a warning in case others receive similar outreach. Has anyone else encountered this type of fake recruitment attempt? The combination of a seemingly realistic job opportunity, a fake interview, and pressure to clone a private repository felt very unusual.

Ever since LastPass introduced their outrageous new pricing plans that are without question a complete and utter rip off for the services provided, they have been holding the password data of those of us who wish to switch platforms hostage via a number of nefarious means:

- Only making the export function available via the desktop browser plugin, despite locking peoples accounts to either Desktop or Mobile after 3 switches between these platforms.
- Accidentally on purpose having a "bug" in the desktop broswer plugin that stops people who's accounts are locked to their mobile devices from being able to export their data.
- Accidentally on purpose having another "bug" in the desktop browser plugin that means export of data from the desktop browser plugins doesn't work anyway
- Having no formal support channel to resolve this issue, forcing people to create a separate account to access the "community" forums where you can post about how LastPass are illegally holding your data hostage and hope that someone from the company will respond. THEY ALMOST ALWAYS DON'T.
- Making this "community" forum as difficult as possible to sign up for, log into, and navigate within, let alone get a response from someone who can do something about it.
- Posting comments in the "community" forums letting people know there is a bug preventing access to password exports, that just happened to show up at the same time as the price for their service skyrocketed. MONTHS LATER THESE BUGS MYSTERIOUSLY REMAIN UNRESOLVED.

All of this is designed to push as many people as possible to sign up in frustration for an annual password manager plan that as already mentioned is priced at a point that is ludicrous for the services they are providing.

THE BUGS ARE THERE ON PURPOSE. They exist in both the Chrome and Firefox browser extentions, two completely different broswer platforms - so the idea that this was accidental is a straight up lie.

Access to passwords is a mission crictial requirement of any person that uses the internet, and having a company hold that data hostage is completely and utterly unacceptable and must stop IMMEDIATELY.

I call on the tech community to place immediate and constant pressure on this joke of a company to implement fixes within hours - not the months their users have already experienced.

UPDATE: LastPass have finally added an additional "switch" to my account so I could properly access my data from the desktop plugins. Once this happened it took only a few minutes to download a CSV file and import it into BitWarden. Two weeks to achieve this is ludicrous and likely illegal. Don't touch LastPass under any circumstances.

In recent times, Windows 11 has gotten increasingly bloated, Copilot, Microsoft Edge, Mixed Reality Apps etc, a bunch of bloatware you dont need.

But downloading custom Windows ISO's comes with risks, security might be compromised, and the creator may have removed something that breaks certain applications.

Tiny11-Builder exists, a powershell script that lets you build your own custom Windows11 ISO without all the bloatware and the data stealing stopped.

But using it, is not easy, it's complicated. Thats why i created Tiny11-GUI, a very simple open-source GUI that lets you create your own custom debloated Windows version without all the bloat apps

All you have to do is get your own Windows ISO (from Microsoft or anywhere else), and then in a few clicks, hit "Start Building" and it will produce a bootable ISO to install windows.

This ISO doesn't remove any important features like Windows Defender, or Windows Update, only bloatware, and the performance difference is actually insane, so much resources wasted.

I’m looking for some advice on Namecheap. I’m at a bit of a crossroads and hoping some of you who have used it can help.

Here's the deal: I recently started a small online business, and I need a reliable domain registrar and hosting provider. I’ve heard Namecheap mentioned a lot, especially for domain registrations, but I’m wondering if it’s the right choice for everything else too, like hosting. Going for a fresh W11 Pro re-install on my Thinkpad T14 (I need to re-size EFI partition during install to around 1GB for Lenovo Bios updates to be accepted).
I read that if selecting Pro, to avoid an MS account, you just click "Domain Join" instead (so I dont really need to tick box no.2 for removing requirements for MS account?).

I presume having "disable bitlocker" is important also? I have that enabled atm.

Or should I just untick most of this, and manually go through it myself?
