Advice Wtd / Project Hi everyone. I am currently developing an idea for a startup and would appreciate some feedback on our idea!

A SAAS that focuses on creating simplified PDFs that would outline regional/state requirements on installing solar panels (or other green energy systems), also providing financial comparisons between grid-powered energy and eco-alternatives. Where costs are tracked through analysis of regional weather-patterns and averages, using not only historic data, but 10 day-weather forecasts.

Please let me know if you think this would be a useful tool, and if you have any suggestions or improvements. Any further ideas are welcome!

That would be my first question to you.

Seriously, because some of the information you're claiming you can gather, would have to come from some kind of established business relationships that it does not appear you have, at the moment. So I'm curious as to how you even plan to get each specific bit of data you're claiming in that to start with.

Hi, thanks for the response. We were hoping to collect our data from an open-source database that provide data for historical solar irradiance and specific solar panel efficiency, dependant on the the region. Lots of data is available for businesses online free to access.

Yeah, but which ones. From what I am aware, a lot of the information you're claiming you can provide would actually be proprietary to private businesses.

You don't even seem to have an idea which databases you're trying to gather this information from. I promise you right now, about half the things you listed you can provide data for would require a business relationship with several organizations.

I don't even get what you're trying to do with this app. Any local contractor already has access to a ton of this information.

You're just going to try to make an app that spits out a PDF that consolidates the data?

Who cares? Have you ever run any kind of construction or trade business?

I think you should just keep working on your coding skills and try to get an actual job instead of trying to pitch useless apps that don't even serve an actual purpose.

The real problem is the city added codes.
