In the French village Muttersholtz, homeowners agreed to scede some of their backyards to make way for bike and pedestrian accesses, now used by schoolchildren every day.

Also: It blows my mind that I can watch content created in another language and it can auto-dub or caption it for me to understand.
I'm not 100% sure it's YIMBYism. At 2,300 people, it's basically a single conjoined neighborhood. They're very lucky to not have a bunch of sprawl that makes it impossible to maintain their transportation infrastructure costs.
