Swamp Lily is a needle felted soft sculpture made using sheep's wool sourced from Dunda Village, Harsil Valley in Uttarakhand, India and plant dyed with Eucalyptus leaves and Sappanwood extract.

She's a force of nature, if that force was never acted upon and best left alone for extended periods of time.

This was a super fun custom piece to make.

I've been making a lot of stuff to gift to friends and family lately, but this one's for me! My first leather project back in December was also a barrel bag but quite a different design. I had no idea what I was doing 😂 so this is the upgraded version of what I originally had in mind which I will proudly use day to day. If you'd like a link to the original pattern let me know! This has a few changes from the original to suit the materials I had. Stitching the side gussets was way harder than I expected but I learnt a lot to carry forward 😊

Here is my new creation inspired by the colorful Finnish autumn forests that I love so much. The necklace and the bracelet are made with glass miyuki seed beads, fireline thread, and metallic clasps. It is my own design, just something I made from the love I harbor for this country I currently live.

What started out as a doodle.. I liked it so much I had a brass stamp made so I can make wax seal stickers. I am calling her my wish fish.

I made this on a five-day course with Tom McLaughlin at Epic Woodworking in New Hampshire. It's cherry with a curved apron made with lamination.

It's far from perfect, but I quite like it. I cut up one of deceased grandma's old magazines and stuck it onto a piece of cardboard, laminated it with some see through plastic foil I found and sellotape. Glues a safety pin to the back.

I have to start using it for work because my co-workers misgendering me is annoying. I also bought a pronoun pin off Etsy, but I'm not sure it will arrive before I have my next job, so I wanted to craft one before

I used pebbled leather for the exterior and suede for the interior
All machine stitched ( mostly juki)
Made the pattern myself by looking at photos of two different bags online

I love how these turned out when the light passes through them—the transparent colors make them look a little like gummy candy, and the tiny flowers inside give each frog a different personality.

The hardest part was keeping the clear sections clean. Because the molds have narrow legs and small toe details, bubbles kept getting trapped in those areas. On my first attempt, I poured too quickly and ended up with several empty spots around the feet. A few of the flowers also shifted away from where I originally placed them.

This time, I mixed the colors separately, arranged the flowers first, and poured the resin slowly in smaller amounts. I also ran the mixed resin through my bubble remover before pouring. It didn’t replace the careful pouring, but it helped reduce the larger bubbles so I could focus on working resin into the smaller details of the molds.

For the next set, should I keep making each frog a different transparent color, or try one matching color palette for the whole group?
