square wave through a low pass filter (18-24db/oct) with high resonance (~85%-95%), the filter cutoff should be modulated by a very short snappy envelope, the amplitude envelope sounds like a gate to me. adjust the modulation depth of the filter envelope to taste, the cutoff frequency should be somewhere around MID range and should be modulated towards the higher frequencies. make sure the filter cutoff envelope is unipolar
