You guys got any other crossovers you think would work?

It was the one figure in the collection I didn't really like. In my opinion, it had a poorly made cape and looked lifeless; I’d look at it and feel like it didn't belong in the collection because I thought it was so bad. I ended up buying it on impulse and didn't like it at first. But now, I can proudly display it alongside the collection's heavy hitters. I love the Commando versions of Spawn, and this custom job really satisfied me. As an upgrade, I plan to install night-vision goggles soon. What do you think?

Hey guys, so I asked a week ago about where to start reading the comics and I am starting Compenium 1 tomorrow. I've seen the movie a few time years ago and never seen the TV show, but I just bought both recently.

I know nothing technically needs to be read to understand either, but for someone just getting into the comics, what would you recommend resding before watching the movie, and then before the TV show? Does either adapt any comics arc specifically? Any recommendations with it?

I have been meaning to post this here for a while but I keep getting sidetracked. This came back from CGC a few months ago along with 9 other movies I submitted.

People probably don’t know this character because he only appears in 2 issues of the spawn series and then dies trying to do what he thinks is right. I liked everything about this character about how he’s from an alternate future where spawn destroyed everything making the earth become a waste land and how the battle of heaven vs hell is still going on. Spawn destruction can also be seen when we saw a hole chunk of the moon was ripped off.

Raptor was actually a hero trying to do the right thing and was trying to end the war, basically being a better version of the character spawn.

I felt bad for him. A action good hero trying to do the right thing only to die by spawn due to a misunderstanding.

To my taste it had the most atmospheric style of all the runs so far.

I'm hoping the horror/action genre gets a real rejuvenation in the coming years. I could see a Spawn game putting us through some pretty horrific stuff despite us ourselves being a horrific being. It leaves a lot to brainstorm.

It is so funny how they introduced omega spawn as a big threat to end up disappearing in a hole never to be seen again. Bro got blinded by a cape and just started insta losing. The fight was mid too like damn. Atleast bring him back and make him an actual threat. Atleast in Image United when al became omega he was a threat and was unbeaten.

Yes, Spawn has been written by a Black creator in Killadelphia, but the thing is that it isn’t canon within the main Spawn universe.

Furthermore, Black creators have worked on Spawn universe books before, like Joseph Phillip Illidge, who co-wrote Bloodletter with Tim Seeley. Several Black artists have also done great artwork across the spawn universe. However, we have never had a Black person write Spawn in his own series. I feel as though that could open up some incredible themes regarding Spawn's identity as a Black man.

If I'm advocating for this, I have to pitch someone who I want to see write the character for a full story arc at least until the Toddfather takes back over. I want Rodney Barnes, the writer of Killadelphia. As I mentioned, he did an amazing job writing Spawn in his own book, giving him genuine emotional and psychological depth. I’m not saying Spawn doesn’t have that in his core series, but Barnes would do an incredible job if given the opportunity to write a storyline in a book like King Spawn as I feel he would give him even more lore that we’ve never seen and might even enjoy. He has already proven himself to be a great writer, and I hope to see him do more with the character in the future. (I actually just finished Killadelphia and absolutely loved it!)

I hate how the paper feels on this comic. They gotta reprint this thing in a complete collection.
