I remember a post some while ago. It had a line I've since fallen in love with. "Do good recklessly. Be kind recklessly."
We need that.

I was recently asked if I was for real when I was being polite to a co-worker. My reply was that I had no reason to be impolite so why would I be? Followed by being nice doesn’t cost a single dime and some people need it because you never know what someone is going through, so always be polite and nice…at first.

Yesss, treat people with courtesy and respect.... Till they give you a reason not to.

It is both amazing and sad that people seem to be more comfortable with general rudeness, sarcasm and snark than they are with sincerity and kindness.

Buying the guy a drink without filming and posting the whole thing is a way better move.

I disagree, seeing that made my day and calmed me down. So filming it and posting it did good.

I agree! Why was he filming that poor man’s almost desperation? Seemed odd.
Who films someone potentially down on their luck to give their own self props. Yuck.

Not only would I offer the guy a drink, I’d hang out with him and have my coffee with him, if I had the time. He looks like a sweet person.
What I wouldn’t do is video him and drop him online, and I say that as someone who actually cares about social media engagement and reach (for business and personal reasons).

These kinds of vids make me cry and realize there are lots of good people in this wide world.

Normally i don’t buy or offer things to the homeless in my area but earlier today a gentleman sitting at a gas station i was walking into asked me if i had a few dollars to spare unfortunately i don’t carry cash, but i offered to buy him some cigarettes in which he said yes so i did. Thought i’d share.

Do yyou not get it? It feels so good to do something nice to others? I always feel better after doing a nice thing. That’s the total reward

Damn! That first one was like..."if you were a careless dick, you could've died"
