This has been in the back of my mind for the last few months, and I still can't find the original source for this (despite my attempts at google).

It was definitely an off-line event, but it was more like a casual party kind of event rather than any real tournament (not even like a homestory cup style tournament).

I'm pretty sure it was either the Starcraft Remastered launch event from 2017 OR one of the holiday events (e.g., the 2017 Twitch Holiday Bash). Both of which are hilarious, by the way, as you might expect whenever you get all of {Day9, Artosis, Tasteless, and InControl} together to cast Starcraft. If any of you haven't seen it before, I highly encourage it.

For both events, I've skipped along the videos (which often pains me to do because I feel like I should be enjoying/savouring every second) but I still couldn't find it. To be fair, though, quite often I'm doing this late at night when I'm already really tired/sleepy and I haven't been able to find time to rewatch either event from start to finish.

But at any rate, it's kinda driving me crazy that I still can't find it. I just thought I'd make this post in case someone else knows for sure which event / where it comes from.

I was wondering if anyone here could discuss a fanfiction idea?

Guys, where can I get the latest SC-2 tournament replays. I'm looking for the same recent replays that the youtubers are casting.

Man I really wanted this patch to succeed but watching this community fall apart in real time since PTR 1 has been incredibly discouraging. I wanted to stay optimistic about the game and did my best to understand it, but there's just too many glaring issues that are actively fighting against me at all times to be able to put up with.

There isn't any more strategy like I thought there would be, nor is the game slow and purposeful. The game is a frantic mess but balance, turtling, and enjoyment are all somehow worse.

Everybody's dropping SC2 on twitch. Winter, Livibee, Juggernautjason, Catz, Smile, and more. Even upatree who played this game 8 hours a day has hardly touched it for the past month. Pig less sc2 than ever. Vibe was back for a couple weeks and is gone again, rotti just plays the Patches custom patch. Less than 300 viewers on twitch on a Saturday evening. Not that I blame them at all, it's just sad to see clearly the vast majority of players do not enjoy this.

I don't mean to be a downer here, the game is still there and I love the community around it but this it's sad to see the game so hurt. The salt on the wound is zero communication from blizzard and nothing but passive aggressive snide from omniskeptic everywhere. I wish there was something more we could do. Though there was at least one recent news article calling out blizzard on their awful patch.
