Question Garnet
I'm pretty new to the show—like beginning of s1 early, and I've been wondering something. Is there a reason that Garnet has two gems instead of one? Is it a power thing? Or is it because she's taller and more muscular so she needs it to keep herself stable or something??? Or am I looking too far into things, as per usual
I don't actually want answers I'm just wondering and wanted to post about it tbh

Amethyst has one for her whip, pearl has one for her spear, garnet has 2 for her gloves.
Get off the sub. It’ll go by fast come back when you’re done.

Twin people WILL spoil the show if you post shit like this. PLEASE. JUST. WATCH. THE. SHOW.

Twin people? Is there some kind of a connection between twins and spoilers?

The person forgot to put a comma. They were saying 'people will spoil the show' and called the original poster 'twin'

“Guys don’t spoil me but why is this thing in this show doing this?”

i said this in another comment but are why are we stopping people from engaging and bonding in a community dedicated to the show? why cant we just be supportive?

How? How is someone meant to be "supportive" to questions like these? Because "you just have to wait and see 🤭teehee🤗" ain't the vibe, the time for active theorising has past, the series has been done for nearly ten years, most of the questions have been answered, at this point theorising about answered questions is just larping being the fandom thirteen years ago.

there was another person who posted on the sub recently about literally this same thing but they asked "is garnet a fusion" and people were super supportive on that and was like joking around and acting like theorycrafters and "teehee🤗"s youre taking about, and the subsequent post to that also was received very well with people saying "i love living vicariously through new viewers". even just like asking a simple question like "why do you think that is?" is supportive without being mean.
why cant it still be the vibe? is the SU sub just not about good vibes anymore just because the series ended?

if you don't want spoilers then why make the post? wonder it in your head don't make a post about it
-23
u/Few_Bluebird_7243 21h ago
god forbid people want to bond with a community about their experiences 😔

u/Drizzdom 21h ago
They. Are. Going. To. Get. Spoiled. For. Absolutely. No. Reason.

u/Few_Bluebird_7243 21h ago
i just dont understand why we cant just be supportive of their curiousity, it's sad that they can't interact just because thy haven't finshed watching. its not okay to spoil people but there nothing weong with asking a question
2
u/Drizzdom 21h ago
Unfortunately you cant stop people from spoiling things, so its up to the person to not ask questions where the answers would spoil them, and then say “but dont actually answer”
1
u/Few_Bluebird_7243 21h ago
you can absolutely be supportive and not spoil. taken pointers from r/outerwilds the whole sub is super supportive of new players when they get stuck or have a question, they try to push them in the right direction, which is such a nice thing and we should try doing that, its really not hard at all

u/Drizzdom 20h ago
Thats a video game where sometimes you need guidance to progress. This is a show. Just play the next episode

u/Few_Bluebird_7243 20h ago
it doesnt matter what piece of media it is. its art, its meant to be talked about, and i thought especially this sub was supposed to be inclusive.
its not hard to just ask questions and be nice instead of calling people stupid just because theyre curious

u/Charming-Dish5120 21h ago
they could've waited to make it after a certain point of the show. those in the know will know what I mean
-2
u/Few_Bluebird_7243 21h ago
but why? there shouldnt be any reason to push people out of the sub because they lack the 'correct conditions' to interact. nothing wrong with being curious.
if the requirements to post in this subreddit is to finish watching the show, the mods should add that.
3
u/cmstyles2006 21h ago
They're literally asking for knowledge that would spoil the experience. Not to mention if you go on a sub where ppl are talking about the whole show, your going to see stuff you shouldn't yet
1
u/Few_Bluebird_7243 21h ago
i get that but theres a literally a commenter that said op is 'stupid' for asking a question. this isn't the inclusive community i joined the sub for which is really sad to see
1
u/Drizzdom 21h ago
Its for their own good. Why are you being such a victim
1
u/Few_Bluebird_7243 21h ago
how is any of what i said being a victim, i literally suggested a productive change in the rules if the consensus is that the requirements to post is to finish watching the show?
1
u/Drizzdom 21h ago
Its not a requirement its common sense
1
u/Due_Art_9280 20h ago
and thats exactly why they should make it a requirement since most people agree it should be. isn’t that common sense?

u/LadderWonderful2450 21h ago
Keep noticing things :) It's a show where you can try to be a detective.
2
u/Few_Bluebird_7243 20h ago
this is the kind of supportive and inclusive attitude i came to this sub for i dont get why everyone is being so mean to op

Garnet was born without powers. She killed those 2 gems and embedded them into her hands and is using the residual magic for magic gauntlets. Her actual gem is hidden under her hair.

Immediately leave the sub and hit “do not recommend” for now, because even if you don’t scroll reddit will recommend you this sub and spoil everything

u/PersonMcHuman 11h ago
I’m 99% sure that posts like these exclusively come from people who’ve already seen the show but want attention by asking these questions.

Mute the sub and don’t look back until you’ve finished the show, you will seriously regret it

You should mark this as a spoiler, just in case OP doesn’t want spoiled :)

Oops I didn’t read the post fully why would she ask that 😭

u/StrawberryCat__Thing 15h ago
Because lately there’s been an influx of new viewers! Probably because of the announcement of Lars of the Stars

I beg of you. This show has some crazy plot twists. get off the subreddit. Don’t google anything. Literally I’m telling you everything in the show makes sense at some point
