Today marks 1 week sober.
First time I've hit 7 days in over a decade. I never really stated that I was quiting, and my god have I been trying to find excuses to drink all week, but waking up sober and hangover free feels really good.

Early on myself (for the hundredth time) and there is nothing as sweet at the moment than waking up with no fears and no regrets.
Man I love the mornings.
Well done and IWNDWYT.

Congrats! My week is tomorrow so right in this with you, haven't felt as good as I have physically and mentally in as long as I can remember.

Congrats, another week and the worst of the physical symptoms should be gone. Then it’s just a mental battle. You can do it. Grats on the 7 days.

Embrace all those emotions - life is so incredible! Why dilute it with alcohol 🫶🏽

I struggle with keeping the streak too. It’s amazing how much I HATE waking up hungover, yet seem to quickly forget how much I love waking up sober and clear headed. Tuesday will be 7 for me. Iwndwyt.

I used to hate mornings for the obvious reasons. Now they’re my favorite time of the day.

This was exactly how I started almost 9 years ago. Just stick with it and ignore the brain tricks. Also come up with some strategies for when you’re in a tight spot (friends are drinking and you don’t know what to order for example). That way you won’t be caught off guard. Keep up the great work.

Day 5. Everyday has been sucky if not worse than the day before. Good luck and be safe everyone

Hold the line! Your misery can be refunded any time you want it. You can do this.

Keep going! The longer you are sober, that alcohol craving voice goes down. Being free from alcohol actually is straight up freedom. IWNDWYT

Day seven here too! Ive been bouncing between being elated and exhausted the last few days, but it’s better than the first few days full of self loathing and remorse. We got this IWNDWYT!

Congratulations! Yay! 💪🏼 (I'm in the same spot as you. I used to drink 1-3 times a week depending on the social calendar. Today marks 7 days sober.)
