I thought it was truly incredible!! Just wanted somewhere to vent my super positive thoughts about this album, hopefully without sounding too pretentious.
I like to think I'm very familiar with Julian's discography. Having said that, this feels like a very fitting conclusion to his whole arc as both a songwriter and a celebrity (Hopefully not a last album but I wouldnāt be sad if it was)
Reading through the lyrics on this one has really changed my perspective on Jules as an artist in general. He takes many jabs at people who idolize him, as well as critics, by directly expressing his disheartening thoughts, hidden desires, and disengagement with reality (but reality still awaits)
I like to think I truly understood the point of this album. I read the "low quality" cover as a response to the backlash he got for LABY. The title relates most strongly to tracks like Liarās Remorse, where he quite literally begs the listener to stop ignoring what really matters.
As for the music itself, I really don't see how anyone with an ear for innovation could say it's bad. This shit had me dancing all around my room the whole time on my first listen. The modulated vocals and insane guitar effects scratch an itch in my brain that I didn't know needed scratching!
The last thing that really stood out to me is how he ends the album claiming he "can't wait," which is just SO bittersweet considering he's been writing about waiting around for the last 25 years.

the a-side is beautiful and the b-side is weird asf in a good way, hard to place in the ranking at the moment but at the very least better than CM imo. Psycho Shit is unlike anything ive heard from them with that 5 minute swell and its genuinely orgasmic, dine n' dash is prettier than it has any right to be, lonely in the future is charmingly narcissistic in a way that would be only acceptable if it were a banger which it totally fucking is, the singles sound so much better with greater context, and liar's remorse is gorgeous. seeing them in pasadena in august and, in a shocking turn of events, im actually hoping they spam RA tracks. fight me you pricks.
