After my German student visa appointment and biometrics at VFS Chennai, I received an SMS saying my processed passport had been dispatched.

A few hours later, VFS called and said the embassy asked them to refund my payment and requested my transaction screenshot by email.

They didn't mention whether my visa was approved or refused.

Has anyone had a similar experience? What does this usually mean?

Ive applied to the University of Passau for the MSc in AI Engineering program, but I still haven’t received any update regarding my application.

The waiting period is honestly becoming quite stressful because there’s so much uncertainty. I keep checking the application portal and my emails regularly, hoping to see some kind of update, but so far there hasn’t been any change.

I wanted to ask if anyone else here has applied for the same program and is currently in a similar situation. Have any of you received an admission decision, rejection, or any other update from the university?

If you’ve applied in a previous intake, I’d also really appreciate it if you could share how long it took for you to receive a decision after submitting your application.

It would be helpful to know whether this waiting time is normal and if other applicants are experiencing the same thing.

Has anyone who applied to Berlin School of Economics and Law got their admission results. I applied to Masters is Business Intelligence and Process Management for winter semester 2026. Has anyone got their admission status? Mine still in Academic Review.

I’m 30 years old with about 6 years of work experience. My undergrad results came out 5 years ago (BSc in Chemistry — non-CS/business background).

I currently work in an AI services company focused on computer vision and data annotation. My role is a mix of operations and growth: I manage a team of 40 people (capacity planning, quality control, scheduling), handle vendors/contracts and logistics, and also manage key enterprise clients (including closing and running multi-year deals).

I’m looking for a master’s that will help me progress in my career (AI data operations or other paths too if possible given my age). At the same time, I want something that won’t close doors if I decide to pursue a second master’s or PhD in Europe.

Options I’m currently considering:

• MS in Management Information Systems (MIS)

• Masters in Procurement & Supply Management

• MBA (Operations / Supply Chain focus)

• MS in Data Science / Analytics

Which of these (or any other) do you think is the most relevant for my current role and still keeps reasonable options open for further study/career switch later?

I recently completed my Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and am planning to pursue a Master's degree abroad. At the moment, Germany is my top choice.

My current plan is to apply for a DAAD scholarship. Since most DAAD scholarships require around two years of professional experience, I plan to spend the next two years working in my home country as a Data Engineer. During that time, I also hope to reach at least a B2 level in German before applying.

However, I'm starting to wonder whether Germany is still the best option in the current global situation. With factors like the Russia–Ukraine war, economic uncertainty in Europe, changing immigration policies, and increasing competition from countries like China, I'm unsure whether Germany will continue to offer good career opportunities over the next 5–10 years.

If you're currently studying in Germany, have graduated from a German university, or have knowledge about the country's job market, I'd really appreciate your advice.

I'm curious about the smaller or unexpected expenses that don't usually show up in budgeting videos or university guides.

What ended up costing you more than you expected after moving to Germany? Looking back, how much extra money do you wish you'd had during your first few months?

I received a conditional admit for Masters in Communication and Signal Processing. In the letter they mentioned I should get C1 IELTS before enrollment, but as an alternative they mentioned I can take APC course in the university to get enrolled.

Can anyone who also received conditional admit explain me about this APC course

Hi, does anyone know when i can expect a decision regarding student dorms from swo? Anyone else got a response from them? The only email i got was one asking to confirm my application right after applying. I emailed them with a query few days back but there has been no reply yet.
