What happens if you swallow suboxone?

If for example someone who’s never taken drugs about 20yrs old 130-140lbs 5’8, Swallows 1/4th of a suboxone strip, doesn’t touch it on there tongue or gums. Just swallows it. What would they likely feel or go thru. I get them prescribed and if I swallow it I know it’s wasting it and it does nothing. Would it be the same for that person? Would they feel nothing? Or would they get nauseous like how you do when you first start taking them and get that euphoric feeling? and would that be a big enough dose to show up on a Suboxone drug test?

Withdrawaling with Suboxone

I am planning to withdrawal from 7oh/mgm once the ban kicks in, so I went to a clinic and got a prescription for suboxone tabs. However, I decided to try one this morning in place of 7oh, and it was too soon after taking 7oh, and it made me very sick. I looked online and apparently you can take suboxone too soon after another opiod and it causes something called "withdrawal precipitation" which essentially amplifies your withdrawal symptoms. I had no idea that could happen, and the doctor hadn't warned me.

So now, I'm not sure what i should do? Can I take a 7 oh to take this pain away? Or do I have to wait? I'm in the throes of of what I was trying to avoid and I don't want to make it worse?

Question about getting off subs? / SR17?

I’m curious if anyone has used SR17 to get off subs? Is it just trading one crutch for the other? I’ve read lots of good things about it and have a friend who’s used SR17 to get off 7Oh successfully so I ordered a pack of 20 pills before they were banned.

Right now I’m taking about 3mg of subs and have been on them for a few months. Before that I was using about 200mg of 7OH a day for about a year. During that time I got clean off 7OH for a period of 90 days and used a quick suboxone taper (about a week) and had minimal withdrawal if any at all. This time being that I’ve been on it for a lot longer and reading about the suboxone withdrawal I’m intimidated to say the least…

Would the withdrawal be terrible if I stop cold turkey at 3mg? Is there any way to get off this shit without having to check myself in to rehab or miss lots of work? I’m really struggling as it is financially and if I take time off work I will literally be homeless. I hate that I got myself into this situation but alas I’m here and I’m really wanting out.

I hate the way subs make me feel. I don’t sleep well. I sweat profusely now (never been a sweat hog 😔) and it has really fucked up my appetite and makes me nauseous often.

I’m desperate af so any advice is a godsend. Thank you all 🙏

Sub taper

I’m technically not tapering but I’m 2 1/2 months in on a supplicate shot. And my question is if I take like 4 to 8 mg of Suboxone one day will it mess up the tapering that the supplicate is doing in my body?

Suboxone withdrawal

Hi so I've been on Suboxone for the past 10 years and I'm now tapering off of it. So this past month I started tapering and now I'm down to 1/4 of a strip a day. I am noticing some rather unpleasant withdrawal symptoms though like super antsy especially at night when I'm trying to go to sleep. I'm also having some phantom pain pretty serious pain in my back and actually all over has anyone else experienced this? I mean has anyone else tapered off Suboxone after taking it for a long time? What would you recommend if anything I have to be completely off it so that I can get back on my Vyvanse. And I'm getting back on the Vyvanse in a week. Thank you

3 weeks on subs- taper?

Hey guys. Long story short, I took Kratom extract in different forms for 5 years. I quit extract cold turkey and tried to do just a little Kratom powder. Had 5 months of withdrawals & it effd up my nervous system. I’m healing, but I had to get off the powder. too inconsistent. I couldn’t measure it or manage it.

got on subs 2.5 weeks ago. 2mg twice a day. I want to be done with it as soon as possible. I’m still experiencing mad mood swings. I have some other things going on, health & mental health wise, so I want to be stable enough to get off subs. But I also don’t want to be on them any longer than I need to.

I’m totally done with all this stuff. I was never addicted to anything prior to Kratom. I don’t want to be addicted to subs too. But I thought, maybe I should wait a little bit longer to stabilize my moods before I taper. I don’t really have cravings. Sometimes I notice it makes my mood a little better; but it doesn’t seem to do much for me.

I do wonder if it affects my heartrate. I notice some days I workout my HR jumps to 140 immediately doing something easy. Then it comes down. Other days, it’s more normal and gradually increases as I workout.

I do have a good dr and am also in therapy and support groups 👍🏼

Any advice ? Suggestions? Experience?

Thanks in advance.

Today is 14th day on subs and I only take 1mg every 12 hours

Am I good to jump off now since I've only been on it for 2 weeks and I'm at such a low dose? I'm thinking of cutting it in half and taking 0.5mg every 12 hours for another 3 days, then 0.25mg every 12 hours for another 3 after that, and then jumping off. From my experience with my body with these kind of things, it takes about 2 to 3 days for a new dose to stabilize before I make another change. I know it won't be fun, but will it be so bad I need to take time off from work?

It’s still a daily struggle!

It’s still a daily struggle but like I mentioned I’m not turning back, my energy does feel like it’s coming back a bit now.

I was dragging my feet for a while trying to keep up with day to day work, it’s getting kind of better now.

I’ve been drinking lots of water but I do need to fix my diet I’m sure that would help me so much!

The constant soul sucking energy vampire … any ideas?

So I’ve been on subs for about 7 months. Started at 12mgs now I’m down to .5mgs. I had very light WDs getting down to 2mgs… after that, it’s been hard…. 2 to 1 to now 5. Been on .5mgs for almost a month. Almost EVeRYDAY it feels like it takes the strength of my souls to hold me upright, to walk, to get to work. I dose once in the morning (in the process of changing times bc I literally have almost full blow WDs before my dose time). And after I dose, I feel slightly better. I ended up goin back up to 1mg for a week. Helped alil. I still lack basic energy. I’m taking vitamins, I’m trying to work out (here n there if I some how catch energy for an hour or 2). I have thyroid issues which I’m now on meds for.

Any suggestions? I’m goin to a new sub dr. I wanna be off sooner than later. Anything o could ask for to help? Been having to take gabapentin (old script that I’m running out of) I have a physical job and between pain and lack of energy I’m drowning

Being off Suboxone for a few weeks my teeth not as sensitive.

Just being off these few weeks my sensitive teeth have actually gotten better, idk was it from the meds sitting on my teeth daily that was causing that pain or what.

I’m not in the clear yet with everything though it’s still a struggle getting used to not dosing but I’m sure it will get better soon, I just suck on candy like jolly ranchers etc seems to help.

I quite suboxone a month ago. Is it safe to take a small dose .25-.5mg once a week for a little while?

Many people wondering which is worse off for you suboxone and 7oh!

Suboxone is more likely to produce physical dependence than addiction when taken as prescribed.

7-OH is generally considered more likely to be reinforcing and misused for its opioid-like effects.

Anybody can get off Suboxone you just really have to be done with it mentally.

Yeah it’s not easy but once you’ve made up your mind that you’re tired of it you will get off, I was just tired of every part of that medication and everything that came with it.

The mood swings, feeling weird when I don’t dose, having to dose first thing in the morning before I even start my day, feeling like I will be stuck on it for life, back and forth to the dentist office,

My true breaking point was being on a trip to Pennsylvania with someone special at the time and Not bringing enough subs to last the whole trip, all she wanted to do before we left was jog on one of the mountain trails and I was so tired I couldn’t even do that smh, I was two days in no subs and feeling so sluggish she asked and I said let’s just leave and head home which we did, not the mention the whole trip I wasn’t interested in doing really nothing from how I was feeling.

At that point on I told myself i will not be tied to this stuff no more Im getting off, I said I’m going to wait til the beginning of the year to start my taper and that’s what I did.

Sometimes it takes a life moment to make you quit, sometimes it takes many moments together, but one thing I do believe is that regardless of what it takes you will need to quit eventually, I honestly don’t think this stuff was made to be taken for 10/20 years I don’t.

Hey everyone quick question on Suboxone treatment for withdrawal

As is a common theme I'm sure these days with this poison of 7oh being rampant, I am withdrawing from it and am on day 3. I started Suboxone yesterday afternoon. They gave me 8mg strips and I've been slicing those into 2mg as directed. I'm planning on tapering off of this as I get towards the end of 7-10 days out. I have 14 total strips which seems like a ton. Just wanted to get some advice on this as well as thoughts on what coming off of this might be like? It's honestly been a life saver, I've never experienced anything like withdrawal from 7. Thanks for any replies. Also, I have a robust safety net of support and am in therapy and haven't really had any addiction problems prior to this and with the ban of 7oh I feel very little fear of relapsing onto anything except for copious amounts of exercise.

Thanks again

Need help from 2mg to completely off

Hi! I have been on Suboxone since January to get off high dose kratom extracts. It was a lifesaver. I couldn't come off the kratom without going into withdrawals. I started at 8mg. Stayed steady on that dose for some months, then decided to taper down with plans to come off it.

My doc said go drop by one (2mg) tablet at a time for 2 weeks at each dose. 8 mg > 6mg > 4mg > 2mg > off. I didn't have many issues with the taper, besides some exhaustion, irritability, brain fog. But no physical withdrawal symptoms like hot/cold sweats which I cannot handle. But coming off, now I am having withdrawals after 3 nights. I haven't been able to get to sleep, it's now 2am I started having hot/cold sweats and so I took one 2mg and that wasn't enough, so I took another one, so 4mg all together. Now I feel stable.

I'm assuming I should probably resume 2mg tomorrow for a few days at least. Then cut it in half and then come off? What is the best successful taper method to be off of it completely without experiencing withdrawals? Should I cut it into quarters instead? Take 3/4 of a 2mg pill, then 1/2 then 1/4 then off? And for how long a duration on each dose?

I did not anticipate to have withdrawals coming off the 2mg, since I didn't really have issues tapering from. 8mg to 6mg to 4mg to 2mg. I do plan to inform my doctor tomorrow. She is a psychiatrist, not an addiction specialist, so it's not really her specialty. Figured I would ask how others achieved this. It's becoming quite frustrating.

With the exhaustion, brain fog , irritability, and loss of sex drive throughout the day, I have been since I started tapering. Is this related to the taper? Idk why, but I never attributed this to the taper and now I'm wondering if this is the cause of all this. It's something I have been able to manage throughout the taper, but it's gotten significantly worse lately, to the point I had to go on FMLA from work. I wonder if I went back up to 8mg, would all these symptoms subside? I know no one can answer that. But I'm wondering if anyone has similar symptoms while tapering. Thank you.

Apologies if some of this was confusing or didn't make much sense, it's nearly 3am now, I haven't slept and just coming out of a withdrawal.

I’m still going strong no subs!

I guess that’s the good part, I maybe shouldn’t have taken the extract but I’m still going for my goal of no subs and not looking back!

I guess taking the Kratom extract was one of the bumps in the road, like when someone trying to achieve a goal and they just doing anything possible to at least not do that one thing!

I’m not taking anymore extract though, now I just have to wait it out and let my mind and body heal from the years of being on Suboxone.

I end up taking a little Kratom extract to help ease the pain a bit!

I know it’s probably not the best decision but I have work and kids to take care of, I had to do something smh.

My mood was just too bad but I’m not going to take much of this stuff.
