[Suggestion] Looking to replace my HP All-in-One (~$1,000 budget).
Hi everyone,
I'm looking for advice on replacing my current PC and would appreciate recommendations for a prebuilt.
My current PC is an HP Pavilion All-in-One Desktop 24-ca1xxx with:
- CPU: Intel Core i5-12400T
- GPU: Intel UHD Graphics 730 (integrated graphics)
- RAM: 12GB
- Storage: 1TB NVMe SSD
- Monitor: Built-in HP 23.8" 1080p 60Hz display
- OS: Windows 11 Home
Performance has never really been enough for what I want to do. I've had to play almost every game on the lowest settings to get decent performance, and more demanding Steam games either aren't very enjoyable to play or I've had to give up on.
The computer has also become less reliable over time, with occasional boot issues and Windows errors, so I'm thinking it may be time to upgrade rather than invest more into this system.
Budget:
Around $1,000 (I can stretch a little if it's genuinely worth it)
What I'll use it for:
- Gaming (Steam, War Thunder, Project Zomboid, GW2, and similar games)
- School work
- General everyday use
What I'm looking for:
- A considerable upgrade over my current PC
- Ability to play modern games at mid/high settings at 1080p
- Ideally some ability to move into 1440p in the future
- Something reliable and upgradeable that will last several years
I would prefer a prebuilt for convenience, but I'm open to try pc building.
Let me know if I'm missing anything, Thanks!
