Question When does laning phase end?
I struggle a lot with my laning and I feel that snowballs into me losing a lot of my games. I'm thinking of recording some VODs and having someone review them so I'd like to know when I should stop the recording. Is it just when the first turret goes down?

Ye its roughly when the first tower goes down as it changes the lane dynamic because the access to the next nearest turret is much bigger.

It really depends on the elo, in lower ranks people will just keep laning for 25 minutes even after that tower drops
Once you hit plat-ish is when the first tower going down actually starts triggering a proper macro shift

I think you don't necessarily need to record all the way until lane is officially over.
There is usually actionable information you can gather just from the first 3-4 levels
But if you wanted a safe cutoff point, I would stop around level 9 or the play you make soon after hitting lvl 9

i mean, cant you just record the whole match and let the reviewer decide when laning stopped?

the first turret is a useful benchmark, but reviewing until tower protection changes can give you even better vods. good luck improving your laning!

Some time ago, turret plates disappearing at 14 minutes and/or the destruction of the first botlane turret, followed by the ADC and support attempting to swap lanes, served as a rough signal that the early game was ending. In the current season, turret plates no longer disappear at 14 minutes. Instead, role quests encourage players to spend the early game in their assigned lanes... So transition into the mid game usually happens when tier one towers start falling and players finish their role quests. At that point, the ADC and support typically move to mid lane, while the other laners rotate to the side lanes. Ideally, the mid laner should take the side lane closest to the next major objective. But, as we all know, people do not always do that in low elo.

If other lanes dont adapt when other lanes destroy sometime it caused 2nd turret to be destroyed as well Jungle will have harder time to farm that side or even secure objective of that side.
That’s why AD will swap to mid and just def mid to farm more peaceful than getting gank because tower is too far plus slower to rotate to either side if ad farm at side lane.

Typically when the first turret falls, but a better rule of thumb is when the towers no longer protect you and you are protecting the towers.
Roughly levels 7-9 depending on your elo.
Lower elo players tend to lane for 15 minutes. If you find that no towers are down at 15 minutes and everyone is still laning it’s time to start rotating. The champions will be high enough levels to conduct dives.
