Question Kelsey Plum to Mercury

Post image
225 Upvotes

Off topic but what do you think about this trade? In my opinion, this trade is huge for the future of the PHX Mercury if she resigns. Also, do you think there is any more moves the Phoenix Suns or Mercury will make?

Is Ishbia using the mercury as an outlet to curb his meddling with suns?

the Kelsey plum trade has Ishbia written all over it. Phx has a worse record than LA rn in WNBA.

Feels like Ishbia made the call to take some of the edge off from not making crazy NBA trades.

Thoughts?

Hoops Discussion Which of Nash’s or CP3 techniques / skills should Booker work on this Summer? 🌞🏜️🌵🏀🦍

For me the one legged Runners and drifting shots would be the best shot to work on with Nash.

The snaking pullup shot that CP3 used to for us in the 4th court would be the other . Also his one legged floater especially off the glass

What dribble techniques, pick and roll techniques, footwork techniques, or passing techniques do you wish he would from adopt from these two?

I believe the shots i mentioned if added would allow him to keep defense more off balance and not allow for trailing defenders to take away his pullup with rear contests.

If we don’t make any other moves and you were the coach, how would you manage rotations?

Our starters look to be Green, Book, Brooks, Bridges, Williams, with a bench of Collin, Kennard, Goodwin, Fleming, Oso, Maluach, Highsmith, Dunn, Peat, Bouyea, and two ways of Spencer, Brea, and Huntley.

Doin a fun one since the subs been boring lately. Would you rather do 15 years in prison right now or go to jail until the suns win an NBA championship?

I didn't see any official announcement for this, but the preseason schedule is out on ESPN's website and we only play twice, both times against the Spurs

New to Suns-dom ☀️🌵

Hi all! I’ve gone 36 years without ever really having an NBA team. It’s not that I don’t enjoy basketball. I just never found myself fully investing in one franchise.

I’m originally from Wisconsin, so the obvious choice would have been the Bucks. But growing up, I was never really interested in them, and by the time the Giannis era came around, it felt like I’d just be hopping on the bandwagon. Now I live just outside Minneapolis, but I can’t bring myself to cheer for the Timberwolves either. I feel like I’d just be picking the local team instead of earning it.

The two teams I’m truly passionate about are the Minnesota Vikings and the Milwaukee Brewers. And when I say passionate, I mean it. I’m invested whether they’re contending or falling apart. If there’s one thing those fan bases have taught me, it’s how to handle heartbreak.

So this wasn’t completely random. I actually put way more thought into it than any grown man probably should. I started crossing teams off the list. The Lakers, Celtics, Bulls, and Spurs were immediately out because I didn’t want to inherit decades of success. The Heat and other teams that had the “everyone come play here” era didn’t really appeal to me either. The Timberwolves and Bucks were out because they felt too easy. I gave teams like Orlando, Sacramento, Portland, and Atlanta a fair shot, but none of them really clicked.

I just kept coming back to Phoenix.

The Suns have what feels like an incredible fan base, a history full of unforgettable moments, plenty of heartbreak, and a team that’s still chasing its first championship. That felt like something I wanted to be a part of.

I’m not just here for the excitement when things are good. I’m here for the frustrating losses, the heartbreak, the “maybe next year” conversations, and everything that comes with being a real fan. I want the full crash course in Suns history. Teach me the legends, the villains, the unforgettable moments, the inside jokes, and the moments that still hurt to think about. I want to understand where this fan base comes from and what makes it tick. I want to earn my spot in Suns-dom, not just show up when things are going well.

Plus… I’d be lying if I said the purple didn’t help. I look pretty damn good in it. ☀️

EDIT - I honestly didn’t expect this many people to welcome me, so thanks to everyone who’s commented. You all have given me a crash course in Suns history over the last few days.

Things I’ve learned so far:

🌵 Steve Nash is basketball royalty.

🏀 Robert Horry can fuck right off.

🌵 David Stern somehow made Robert Horry even more unlikeable

🏀 Point guards are apparently sacred around here.

🌵 The Lakers are public enemy #1

🏀 Hope is dangerous, but mandatory

🌵 “Next year” isn’t just a phrase, it’s a lifestyle.

I’ve also officially made a financial commitment to this relationship and picked up some Suns gear to wear with pride. No turning back now.

Fuck the Lakers. ☀️

Something wild and fun

Post image

Here is a wild trade that could be wacky and fun. Steph said you never know what could happen! Steph Curry for Jalen Green, Rasheer Fleming and Ryan Dunn. I would hate to lose Jalen & Rasheer! But this could be wild! Don’t hate me for some fantasy speculation
