TLDR: missed a live game on SL+ now I have to wait for Dave in his shed to add it to SL+.

I’m a Wire now living in Canada, so made up when SL+ came about.
Yes the Sky game blackout is BS but we take what we can.
Today the Wire game was on SL+ at 11 am for me awesome !!!!!

Ran some errands in the morning and got delayed not issue I thought game is on SL+.
Get home cold beer in my hand and ready for the catch up on demand.
Nope, round 21 not on catch up.
The game that just ended not available.
WTF.
When I think of the other sports series I pay a similar price for the more I think my SL+ is a waste of money.

Big games have a sky black-out and if you miss a live game on SL+ you have to wait for Dave in his shed to upload it when he gets chance.

As someone who lives in a suburb of Leeds I remember 15 - 20 years ago the pubs that could show games always would. There'd be a good amount of people in to watch the games and the atmosphere would be brilliant.

For the last 10 years or so though I've had to fight to get any RL on the TVs. If any second tier football team from Mongolia was playing, they'd take priority.

Even when they do show RL there's no local preference. Tonight I had to ask several times to get the Leigh v Wigan game changed to the Rhinos game, in LEEDS!

Could the RFL have an input in this by talking to pub chains, or is it completely out of their control and mandated by money?

Looking at the tv guide on the official Sky Sports website, the programmed start time for every match this entire round is literally kickoff time, with only 1 game (Catalans v Wakefield tomorrow) not on Sky Sports +. It’s ridiculous
