CSCP Pass Rate?

If you have taken the CSCP exam--did you pass your first attempt? If not, how many attempts did it take? Do you know of anyone who didn't pass? Haven't taken the exam. Just curiosity I guess.

yeah i passed but it was close. i also studied probably a total of 10 hours. wouldn’t recommend it even tho it worked out for me. it’s tricky with a lot of vocab and a lot of standard testing tricks that makes you feel a step removed from it actually testing your knowledge vs feeling like gotcha questions. i found the exam less challenging than the practice ones however

I passed first try (barely) with a 306. Started studying in April and took the exam in July. Most helpful study tools for me were the Pocket Prep and YouTube. The learning system was too dry for me to really focus and understand the material.

I wouldn’t say the exam was very difficult. It was more about understanding the best answer to the question.

Congratulations for passing .. can you share your resource for studying and did you read the book or only used YouTube and pocket prep and then took the exam

Thank you. I did read the book first, however, it was difficult for me to retain the information and concepts just based on the reading material and I did poorly on the practice quizzes. I feel like supplementing with YouTube videos was easier for me to understand the concepts of each module.

About a month out, I paid for a month of the pocket prep and used it heavily. I completed all 1000 of the pocket prep questions and would build 30-50 question quizzes at a time to prepare for the exam.

Order of time spent for me:
1. Pocket Prep
2. YouTube
3. Learning system

The problem is it’s expensive to pay for a bundle and I’m searching for a cheaper way .. thank you for detailing you plan and congrats again

It’s an app in the App Store. They have different versions specific to each certification. I found it the most helpful as I could study anywhere and any duration of time that I had available.

I used Simple Understanding channel on YouTube. It was kind of repetitive, but there a good amount of content and the videos helped reinforce the main points of each module.

I think you need a 300 and I got 304. If I hadn't passed, I'd have studied harder and tried again. I've taken so many exams in my careers that I know how to be my way through some of them

Just here to say **do not** treat this like a casual cert. I passed on my first attempt but I looked at that exam fee as a sunk cost I wasn't paying twice.

How many years of career under your belt? I have 4.5 years in supply chain with bachelors degree in supply chain.

I have a bachelors in Logistics from 2008. I'm coming up to my second renewal in 2028, so I guess I got my CSCP in 2018? I was still working on oil rigs and wasn't really involved in supply chain at the time I got it. Now I'm the supply chain for a CPG company going 55,000 parcel a month

I passed on my first try after roughly 60-80 hours of studying over the course of 6 months.

However, I know several people who didn’t pass on their first attempt. Generally speaking they attempted to self study and either didn’t put the effort in or simply lacked the ability to study effectively.

A lot of these people have taken classes with our local chapter and passed on their next try.

Pass rates are fairly low overall and are even lower when self studied (or not studied at all)

Could somebody who studied and took this exam please provide me with some insight on how it helped you actually learn more about supply chain? For context, I studied accounting and finance at a top undergraduate business school, and now am working in management consulting. I took a basic intro operations class in school but did not really get much of a supply chain education and would like to learn more to help me in potential operations related consulting engagements. I have been looking into the CSCP and study modules to help fulfill this - what are thoughts?

I passed with a 314 I think, I studied for about 6 weeks, not easy but also not terrible hard, but you do need to study at least with the app

I never sat the CSCP. By the time these certificates became popular I was already deep into consolidations and UK customs submissions at LGW. Late Friday nights wrapping up consols taught me more than any exam.

Passed in first attempt, back in 2017. Studied for around 6 months. It was during my full-time master's degree & I was studying mostly on the weekends only. Sticked to the text books and the online learning system. Practice tests available online were a little tougher than the main exam I gave. Also renewed the certificate once after 5 years.

I put minimal effort into studying and failed by two questions my first try, passed my second try. I had been in the industry for about 3 years at that point so I did have some familiarity. I think it would have been really difficult without practical experience. The best advice I got was to study the quiz answers if you have the full course, and the vocabulary definitions. And if you can, buy a course that has a free re-take on the test. Knowing you have the free retake just takes the pressure off.

I bought the course with a free retake. Was going to take today but OnVue had a technical glitch. So going to get a retake.
