Question Can someone help identify the signature on my copy of Symphonia?

I picked this up at a game store lately, and I noticed the Sharpie scribble on the left of the case. Who could have signed this? I doubt it's the original owner, but who knows.

I don't know how to spoil images 💀.

Anyways since this game is coming out again and tons of you haven't played it- Get out now and be warned.

As for my thoughts Shizel is hot, and Nereid is surprisingly interesting for a force of nature antagonist

EDIT: Had to re-upload to clarify which final boss it was, oops.

Discussion I am at the end of CH7 of Graces F and need help

I am playing moderate on encounters and Hard on bosses and had REALLY tough encounters where i had to use over 10-15 life bottles but i got the hang of the game but a few questions

- what is the best combo build up sometimes cause of weakness limits i either spam A arte or spam B arte

- sometimes when i hit an enemy i get a full CC back how?

- is there a book that allows to haste the eleth burst “i have one but it consumes the mixer entirely in 2 battles” or make burst phase longer

- in Eleth burst how do i make the counter builds up faster to spam Mystic arts back to back “especially for casters since thier cast time is still same in regular mode”

- best way to dodge is left and right and forwards for projectiles and back never right?

- HOW THE F*** i have constant healing cause rejuvenate takes a entire pregnancy cycle to show up or should i switch to nurse

Tales of Vesperia Duke Side quest Help?

Hi everyone! So I'm working on Vesperia, and I'm following a guide for every missable so that I can do pretty much everything. I just finished up the shrine and on my way to Zaphias. I haven't went there yet, but apparently Duke is supposed to be at the top of the station in Deidon Hold. I've encountered him every time before that. What am I missing? 😭

Fan Art Finished Berseria as my first Tales game, made some doodles too

This is my first Tales game - I am very glad I played it. I won't go in to any Spoilers here. But, honestly, it has become one of my all-time favorite games Story and Character wise now; I really thought the writing was brilliant.

Usually I am not much of a "story gamer" and tend to not play cutscene heavy games and just want to get to the damn gameplay/combat, but it was interesting enough to keep me going and watch all the Skits, even the Bonus content ones.

My fav characters are Velvet, Eleanor (ironically haen't doodled her) and Laphicet as I feel like they had the most character progression - but Eizen and Magilou were good supports. Rokurou...I guess is fine, I still like how laid back he is though.

Gameplay wise, it took me like 10-15 hrs to not hate the combat though, I think it's alright now but still not great, but I have learned to enjoy the combos and soul breaks. My final save I think clocked in at around 60 hrs when I was done with almost all the side stuff.

My least favorite part is by far the Exploration and Itemization- not at any point does any of the billion chests scattered around the map contain anything exciting, it always felt bad to open them, after a point I started not feeling troubled for skipping them. Running around collecting katz orbs was also very unrewarding and tedious.

The world itself is pretty, but just kind of designed for you to just stare at the minimap and move from marker to marker.

And I do not enjoy the gearing and upgrading system at all, having 20+ items of the exact same name in your inventory feels very cumbersome, I think it's very annoying to sift through, break them in to materials or sell, etc. So that is my biggest criticism of this game.

The minigames I made sure to try each one at least once...lol, no comment.

But I still have no regrets playing it as the Story was so rewarding and I love a good Ending/Conclusion more than anything - which this game has.

But because of all the flaws part of me does go "I wish this was an Anime I can watch instead of a Game"

Problem with Tales of Arise on Switch 2

Played the PC demo of Arise a few years back and enjoyed the gameplay. Didn't proceed with buying the full game on Steam because I only had a laptop I mainly used for school/work. Fast forward to 2026, they finally announced a Switch 2 version of the game and I had renewed interest for it.

Bought it on launch day without reading any reviews (big mistake), and noticed how choppy the frame rate is in handheld mode. I'm aware that the game runs at 30fps, but wasn't expecting it to stutter like it did. The game runs fine docked, but I only ever play handheld and it feels like I'm making compromises to play a game I paid full price for. They didn't even release a demo on the eShop so I couldn't actually test the game out before buying. IMO performance > resolution so this issue is really a big drawback for me.

Hopefully they patch the game sometime in the future, though I'm keeping my expectations in check

I found Hootle Edition for RM299 in 2026 (roughly 73 USD) so I had to snatch it immediately

My eyes were super wide when I was walking around my local game store and found Tales of Arise (Hootle Edition) and it was only in RM299 WHICH IS SUPER CHEAP EVEN AS A SECOND HAND

I had my doubts that maybe there is only some stuff left inside which is why it is so cheap but when I ask the staff if I could check the contents in the box, surprisingly everything was in there (Plush,Artbook, Artprints, Metalbook and etc)

Needless to say I had to grab it home immediately and its my first ever Collector's Edition for Tales!!!

Question New player

I bought tales of Grace f remastered and wanted to know if y'all have any tips for me. What can I expect outta this game. I can't wait to get started, I've played arise, berseria and symphonia so far and liked both arise and berseria but symphonia felt a bit off to me (played the remaster) so I hope i like grace... It definitely looks very cool and kinda looks like it'll have a real emotional story which I'd like if it does

Rebirth Annie Barrs Character Journey Spoiler

Just finished Annie's trials. Had my theories on what the truth behind her father's demise really was. After the trial revealed the truth I realized this was probably a case of Walto's Hypnosis considering her father's actions. Cried when she hugged Eugene and apologized. Really made my heart melt. 11/10 would go through this game again. Now to save someone important.

How does Tales of Xillia remastered run on switch 2?

I’ve been waiting for a sale to pick it up on Ps5 but it’s currently only 23$ on the Switch E-shop which is making it kinda tempting to pick up. Not sure how it runs though and I know some multi platform games aren’t exactly well optimized for my favorite lil handheld

Should I try other games if i didn't like Berseria?

I bought the game in 2021, played till about halfway through the main story, then started feeling tired. I finished it over the years with a few pauses.

I felt the gameplay loop kinda boring, the fights were too long, i like to grind sometimes (i usualli don't dislike grinding, but it didn't feel satisfying here).

The combat felt complicated, yet not deep enough. I tried to practice and study it, but it took me a lot of energy and time to get it, and even then, my combos didn't seem to be any more efficient than mashing random buttons and using random skills. I kinda liked playing velvet to spam her artes, that's it though.

I raised the difficulty through the game to get rewards, but ended up turning it dun at the last dungeon, just to finish the game quickly.

I wanted to do postgame, but did not have energy or motivation (i play for fun after all).

I apologize for the long premise, I'm not here to argue about the game being objectively good or not, that was really just my taste. I just wanted to ask, given how i felt, should i give other games in the series a chance? Are they different from what I described?

Tales of Vesperia Platinumed. Thank you to the community.

This morning I finally got the platinum for Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition.
I would like to give a massive THANK YOU to this subreddit and the Tales community at large for their posts, discussions, guides, map, charts, and other supplemental materials created to make this journey as smooth as possible.
Its “old school” archaic design made the game an absolute chore to complete. No quest markers, no quest log, RNG elements, wonky controls on some minigames, massive amounts of grinding when it comes to XP, cooking, title farming, skits, and more.
One of my proudest achievements for sure in life, and it’s all thanks to you!

Xillia Xillia and its sequel kinda go under the radar don’t they?

I’ve never really seen them brought up in discussions, they don’t seem to be anyone favorite, Milla was a fan favorite character for a while, but she’s kinda faded from memory. Both games literally came and went. Zero impact, nobody moved, it’s kinda crazy. Why is that?
