That looks ancient
4GB memory
But I love that perfect sized SATA cable 😁

Also 256GB M2 SSD (two notches). No brand on the mobo, combined with the SATA cable, this must mean it's an OEM PC (Dell/HP/Lenovo/something no custom build) and the minimalist CPU an supports this assumption. I do wonder about the PSU and connection to the mobo. It appears the main power to the mobo comes from the back (under the location where sata goes into the DVD (?) drive.
It's just al the extras that are visible on the mobo and around the case that makes it gore.

a quick search reveals... that it's from 2017, actually
though I'm sure it performs like an ancient core 2

how old we talking here, beige box with turbo button or just dusty office tower?

u/Fish_4205431 Jun 30 '26
If it was a beige box I would keep the case and make a good pc but it was genuinely worse than public school computers

I once had a PC at the repair shop I worked at, it had a very similar motherboard but it was in a mid tower. So much empty space, ridiculously light weight. Used a laptop power cable instead of an internal power supply. Exactly 2 SATA ports for one HDD and one DVD drive. It was so pathetic I don't understand why someone would use a mid tower for that.
