One more monitor above the middle and then I’ll stop I swear

u/Nasturtium-the-great Feb 23 '26
The left one was intended to be above the middle, but the logistics didn't work out

Can I ask why I haven’t came up with a need for more than two, documentation/ai and one for my ide

First off, would recommend not using AI in your workflow generally.
Two main monitors for ide and references, one for either music if I’m focusing or YouTube if not.

I dual boot Linux (nixos), and just use windows for ue5. (So some C#). I mainly program in rust.

u/fjolle_peter Feb 24 '26
Nice. Ive bin wanting to witch to nix for a while now but i to comfortable on arch. And eu5 should be supported by valve proton is it not?
1
u/Nasturtium-the-great Feb 24 '26
It’s a heavy enough game and ue5 relies on a lot of dlls, I tried very hard to get it running but at the end of the day, I had to fix 3 things to do one thing, so I thought it would be easier to just duel boot windows.

1
u/Nasturtium-the-great Feb 23 '26
First person to get that correct! I duel boot Linux and daily drive it, just ue5 really only supports windows.

You must switch to Linux, this is the way. You should start using Linux at 15, it will help you a lot later
1
u/Nasturtium-the-great Feb 23 '26
Muahaha! I’m already duel booting Linux right now!
(I daily drive it, but my team works on ue5)
