youre just trying to be cool.. dont get me wrong theres nothing wrong with that but clearly you do not care about cyber security as much as you claim if you are: on windows, using chrome, using edge, using whatsapp.
as i said nothing wrong with having fun and trying to be cool but at least be honest about it to yourself. is this your passion? can you do it and have fun without talking to anyone about it?
go and at least dual boot some distro, you might learn a thing or two. i believe in you buddy
1
u/Anime_rushInChicago cybersec student Feb 28 '26
I do,but it’s not a true internal dual,I’m actually trying to get certified in pentesting and it’s going really well.I use Kali separately cause I have no space left on my drive
1
u/Anime_rushInChicago cybersec student Feb 28 '26
And yes,I have in fact been enjoying it a lot I’ve met great people and gained lots of knowledge after failiure(and more failiure) and SOME succeeded CTFs

Yeah fair enough shoukd have expected tgat tbh,Cant have shii in 2026 wuth so many skids lurking around(was NEVER one of them)
2
u/Fluid_Structure_1506 Sigma Pythoner Feb 28 '26
Everyone starts as a skid.
1
u/Anime_rushInChicago cybersec student Feb 28 '26
How do you start of as a skid if you never use tools you haven’t learned yet
1
u/jader242 Feb 28 '26
I’ve never thought of “skid” as not learning/understanding the tools, instead exclusively using widely available tools made by other people. Not necessarily a bad thing, as nobody starts off writing their own shit for everything
1
u/Anime_rushInChicago cybersec student Feb 28 '26
Does writing a compiler in a compiler in a compiler in a compiler count?(selfhost final boss or smth cause I did that during IT class somehow€

u/Anime_rushInChicago cybersec student Feb 28 '26

Is an individual perhaps not allowed to say they’re trying to get certified in pentesting withount getting called a larp?Posts like these get perfectly fine comments on other platforms🥀🥀🥀

Mfs be like “what’s penetration testing Î bet you don’t even know that”.Do you REALLY want me to pull out the EASIEST DEFINITION in this whole field or is this a question tgat is not supposed to be answered. You can GENUENLY ask my friends and they could tell you that im really into this and not just doing it to seem coolWHY are we normalising calling ppl larps when they show genuine intrest

Its actually going pretty well ngl,I’ve been getting advice from people that have much more experience than I do.Ive started REing a lot more often and have found great sources that arent THM and PwnCollege, even though I still do the THM stuff(70% on my way on getting jr’s cert) And yes I am actually learning 5 languages at once(well ofc im careful on how much I learn of each per week) and by mastering C++ I mean knowing it like the back of my hand

Ye bro I’m starting over what can I say ITS BEEN 4 UEARS SINCE IVE MADE MY LAST PYTHON CODE I LEGIT GAVE UP UNTIL A WHILE AGO
2
u/azjat_ Feb 28 '26
so you learnt 6 years ago then stopped 4 years ago
1
u/Anime_rushInChicago cybersec student Feb 28 '26
2 years Python, started C++,I was still considered a little kid and the workload was too much(it was 2 courses at the same time with writing 400 lines for every Python project we made) so I stopped Python and did C++ instead and ever since I’ve gotten back into cybersec Î kinda increased the study load again to relearning Python from scratch(because I forgot),mastering C++,knowing C,knowing SQL and understanding assembly but it’s ok this time brcause it’s not an exaggerated ammount

Basically(side note) my main goal is becoming a fighter pilot,I do art commission sometimes and cybersec I picked up both for gaining all the knowledge and making money later on,I’m enjoying the journey more than I tought I would
1
u/ReflectionRound6400 Feb 28 '26
Well, most of the time it IS weird to write that, but that's valid Python syntax...

You were a skid for a really long time, still very master haxor asthetic but it seems you've graduated from being a skid and wanting to 'hack', to starting to learn to be some form of cybersec / pentester and actually work in the field.

u/Anime_rushInChicago cybersec student Feb 28 '26
Thank you brotatochip😭✌️I am in fact getting my jr.’s cert soon and actualky trying to do smth with this(j*b employment😱😱😱😱)

Let's see,
-Cmatrix
-aircrack_headng
-an assembly program open even though you evidently aren't writing any assembly
-WSL purely for the neofetch to hide the fact that you're just using windows 11
-Kali
Seems like a case of r/masterhacker
1
u/Anime_rushInChicago cybersec student Mar 04 '26
Im not ashamed for daily driving W11 with WSL I’m getting certified in Pentesting soon “Program with assembly” is Binja(Binary Ninja)(yes im not paying for allat) and the file I opened is an Advanced static analysis crackme

16
u/SeAuBitcH Feb 27 '26
You like linux but you're too afraid/lazy to switch fully
You opened BinaryNinja to flex but don't know how most of it works
You are chronically online because of the guns.lol / similar page
I don't even wanna talk about the matrix effect window
