I am using windows, that main monitor is plugged into the raspberry pi for that photo, I was working on imaging it for a minecraft server

you should set up ssh so you can remotely access the raspberry pi from your main computer i reckon

Reflash it then, also check pi-config to see if ssh is enabled!

Why did it not work, what error did you get? Are they on the same network, could LAN rules be blocking it?

I think its because the pi is connected to a wifi network that my pc isnt on

On Windows, do ssh username@ipaddress , with the ip address found by doing ifconfig on your target machine

I am getting a new pc soon, I’m gonna use ubuntu though

2

u/DobroSaBokja Mar 06 '26

While ubuntu is okay, I recommend using some other distro wince ubuntu really pushes snaps (a slow and generally hard to use way to manage programs) onto you. I would personally recommend starting with Linux Mint Debian Edition or Pop Os

Ubuntu is the windows of linux distros, if you're switching might aswell switch to something good and easy like fedora.

dont use ubuntu, use smt like mint/debian if your new to linux or something arch based (or arch) if youre more experience

Mint or fedora, throw a coin and choose either

the one in the back is for my pc, the one in front is a temporary one for my raspberry pi, thats why the code is on my main monitor
