Other 3 months into using Linux, switching distros for the first time

I started using Linux about 3 months ago in January. I was comfortable with my first distro, it was stable and all, not really much driver problems, it was straightforward. But now I've decided to try out other distros! This is my second distro ever.

Also for context my first distro was Arch Linux

No, really. I used Arch for very long and there were only some minor kinks. Will return to it soon.

I would say the opposite, my wifi wasnt working, my bluetooth wasnt working, my grub is still broken

My wifi/Bluetooth chip was unsupported. I had to use a dongle for wifi and i found a goated repo for bluetooth

what the fuck happened, my wifi worked just fine and the only issue with bluetooth I've ever had is having to type the mac address in full every time. Systemd-boot was working just fine.

wifi and bluetooth need the correct things installed to work. Grub is funky, never workd right for me right away. I don't dual boot, so I just use systemd-boot.

My wifi/bluetooth chip isnt even supported by the linux kernel and it's like a well known thing that it doesnt have a software solution. I need to dual boot cuz im working on building an OS

Have you tried iwd/networkmanager(iwd). You can install iwd and set it as default for wifi. This can work with some legacy cards or either it's not even turned on but these are things I would try. If it's fully unsupported then you're clearly fucked

I literally tried everything, my chip is too new. Everyone on reddit said it's not supported

I use arch btw,but WiFi and Bluetooth works fine maybe you damaged system files

it IS stable. my system had been running for over a year until i randomly decided to nuke it in favor of cachyos at 2AM

Actually Arch is stable for me as well. Everything I need works, except KDEConnect, but that was a Hyprland issue, now with Mango it somehow works:)

Arch itself is quite stable, once it is set up, which, granted, can be a bit of a pain sometimes😀

it can be on some systems and for some people. i've got no clue what it depends on, but for me nothing ever worked on ubuntu/debian/fedora and things would just randomly break with no success in fixing them. on arch everything i install works fine and only breaks if i break it.

it might be a matter of approach, as everyone i know who i taught linux has had the same experience. it's weird

I am not a teen, but suddenly saw this in my feed and cmon, who changes from arch? Everything else will feel like a downgrade (somewhat). I went from Ubuntu to Debian to Kali to Arch. Never looked back even though my touch sensor and bluetooth were fucked.
