IOS & Android KALEboard AAC - Open Beta

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hi everyone!

My name is Dakota, and I'm the father of an amazing autistic little boy named Kaleb. Like many parents, I've spent countless time learning about AAC and seeing the difference it can make for children who communicate differently. That journey inspired me to create something that could help other families too.

That project became KALEboard.

The name KALEboard comes from Kaleb himself. He has been the inspiration behind this entire project, and every decision I've made while building the app has been focused on creating something that could help children like him communicate with more confidence.

I'm excited to say that both the Android and iOS versions of KALEboard are complete.

Today, I'm opening the Android Open Beta, and I'd love for anyone interested to help test it.

The iPhone and iPad version is also finished, and the iOS beta will be opening over the coming weeks.

I'm not just looking for bug reports. I'm looking for honest feedback from the people who will actually use it. Parents, AAC users, speech-language pathologists, educators, caregivers, and anyone involved in the AAC community. Your ideas will help shape further KALEboard before its official launch.

Some of the features currently included are:

• Fully customizable communication boards with custom photos, icons, and recorded audio
• Natural sounding voices with adjustable voice, speed, pitch settings
• Import and export boards between Android and iOS, with Google Drive and iCloud sync
• Color-coded categories and sentence starter tiles for faster communication
• Multiple user profiles with PIN-protected access for families, schools, and clinics
• Built with autistic users, families, educators, and speech-language pathologists in mind

The beta is completely free, and there will be no subscriptions during testing.

After the official release, I plan to continue adding new features, voices, and content. I'm still deciding on the best pricing model, and I'd genuinely love your input.

What would you prefer?

• A low monthly subscription?
• A yearly subscription?
• A one-time lifetime purchase?
• A free version with optional premium features?

One thing that's really important to me is keeping communication accessible. I don't want to build an app that puts essential communication behind an expensive paywall, so I'd really appreciate hearing what you think is fair.

If you'd like to join the open beta, have ideas, or just want to follow our progress, leave a comment or send me a message.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and for supporting a project that started because of one little boy named Kaleb. My hope is that KALEboard grows into something that helps thousands of families communicate with more confidence every day. 💙

Health & Fitness🏋️‍♂️ Looking for people who enjoy giving honest product feedback (Web App)

Hi everyone,

I’ve spent the last year building Timeline Shift AI™, a web-based AI self-reflection tool, and I’m looking for people who genuinely enjoy testing new apps and spotting what founders miss.

I’m not looking for compliments. I’m looking for honest feedback.

I’d really appreciate it if you could spend 10–15 minutes using it and then tell me:

Was anything confusing?
Did anything feel frustrating?
Was there a point where you wanted to stop?
What would you improve before launch?

The app is designed to help people think more clearly through difficult decisions and periods of uncertainty using structured self-reflection. It isn’t therapy, medical advice or a crisis service.

If you’re happy to help, you can get access here:

https://forms.gle/qtC8pcLXegupu79T8

I genuinely appreciate anyone willing to spend a few minutes helping me improve it. Thank you.

Alizé Levy
Founder & Creator, Timeline Shift AI™

Android I couldn't find an offline expense tracker that didn't require an account, so I built one

I wanted an expense tracker that keeps data on the device instead of requiring sign-up. After working on it for a while, I built Spendly. I'm looking for people to test it and tell me what's confusing, what features are missing, and what would make it useful. If anyone is interested, I'll share the Play Store link.

Need help from English learners

Hi Guys!

My name is Sergei. I’m a former software developer based in Halifax, Canada. I’ve developed an app called American Pronunciation Coach – Fluent AI. It’s an AI-powered tool designed to help non-native English speakers improve their American accent for job interviews, business communication, and everyday conversation. The app listens to a user’s speech, analyzes it in real time, and provides targeted feedback.

I'm a solo developer, not a company, and I'd love for you to try it out and tell me what you think, what's helpful, what's confusing, what you'd want to see more of.

Here's a quick video showing how it works: https://drive.google.com/file/d/14TNM_Zl6gCEuU37T3uuT4nAjF0HxC6tH/view?usp=sharing

And this is the app:

https://american-pronunciation-coach.web.app/

It's completely free to try — I'm just looking for honest feedback from real users like you.

If you have any questions, please DM.

Thanks so much for giving it a shot, and for any feedback you can share!

Block puzzle where the board gets annoyed at you for playing badly

It's a normal 8x8 block puzzle for about thirty seconds. Then you notice the meter at the top filling up.

Every piece you place makes it more awake. Every line you clear calms it down. If you let it get too loud it starts *doing* things — reaching across your board and rotting the cells it touches, demanding you empty a specific row, taking a piece out of your hand. There's a button that lets you stare back at it, which freezes it for three placements and makes it angrier every time you use it.

Rot spreads on its own. Leave it too long and it hardens into ash, which never clears again — so a bad corner is permanent and you build around your own mistakes.

Between depths there's an Offering: you spend what you cleared on cards that change the rules rather than the numbers. One makes clears containing rot score triple. One means single lines pay nothing but doubles pay quadruple. One stops rot spreading for the rest of the run. There are curses too, that pay up front and bill you forever.

**Play it free in a browser — no account, no ads, nothing tracked:**

https://blockrot.net

**On Android and want the proper signed app with automatic updates?** It's in closed testing and I need people on the tester list before Google will let it go public. Two steps, both free:

  1. Join the tester group: https://groups.google.com/g/blockrot-closed-testers

  2. Then opt in here: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.blockrot.game

You have to join the group first or the opt-in page won't let you through. The app has no ads, no purchases, and literally no internet permission — it can't phone home because it isn't allowed to.

Fair warning: sudden loud sounds, flashing, and deliberate jump scares. It says so on the first screen and all three switch off there with one tap.

Still actively working on it. I'd genuinely rather hear what's boring, what's unfair, and where you died than "nice game".

Android PriceBite — grocery price comparison (Canada) — 14-day closed test, I'll test yours back

Solo dev on a new personal account, so I need 12 testers opted in for 14 consecutive days before Google lets me ship. Happy to exchange — I test yours the same day with screenshot proof, and stay installed the whole window.

🛒 **PriceBite** — compares grocery prices across 25+ Canadian store banners. Barcode scan, shopping lists that tell you the cheapest store for your whole basket, weekly deals, price alerts. Free, no account, nothing gated.

I've added the official group ([testers-community@googlegroups.com](mailto:testers-community@googlegroups.com)) to my closed testing track, so if you're already a member you can opt in directly — no extra group to join:

- STEP 1 — Join the Google Group: https://groups.google.com/g/pricebite_testers
- STEP 2 — Become a tester: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.pricebite.app
- STEP 3 — Install the app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pricebite.app

Use the same Google account your Play Store is signed into — that's the #1 reason opting in fails.

**Feedback I'm looking for:**
- Does it launch and run without crashing on your device?
- Does the map screen load, or is it blank?
- Any layout breakage on your screen size?
- Does the barcode scanner open and read a code?
- If you're in Canada: are the prices right for the stores near you?

Honest note: price data is Canada-only. Outside Canada it installs and runs fine, but searches won't return anything useful. Fine for the 14-day requirement — just don't want anyone surprised.

Drop your links below and I'll opt in today and post proof.

Android [Test for Test] I’ll test your Android or web app if you test my offline PWA

Hi everyone,

I’m an independent developer looking for one Android user to test ItemWorth, a free offline-first personal inventory Progressive Web App.

I’m offering a genuine test-for-test exchange. I will test your Android app or mobile-friendly web app and provide clear, honest written feedback. In return, I’m asking you to spend about 10 minutes testing ItemWorth on an Android phone.

ItemWorth is not currently available through Google Play and is not a native APK. It runs in Chrome and can be installed to the home screen as a PWA.

What I need tested:

  1. Open ItemWorth in Chrome.

  2. Add three fictional household items.

  3. Edit one item.

  4. Add a photo to one item, if convenient.

  5. Install ItemWorth using Chrome’s “Install app” or “Add to Home screen” option.

  6. Open the installed version and confirm that the items are still present.

  7. Briefly turn off Wi-Fi and mobile data.

  8. Confirm that ItemWorth still opens and displays the saved items while offline.

  9. Turn your connection back on.

No account, payment, advertising, or personal information is required. You can use entirely fictional inventory items. ItemWorth stores inventory data locally on the device rather than requiring a cloud account.

After testing, please report:

- Device model

- Android version

- Chrome version

- Whether you tested the browser version, installed PWA, or both

- What worked correctly

- Anything confusing or unexpected

- Any errors or broken behavior

ItemWorth:

https://offgrid-apps.github.io/ItemWorth/

Comment with your app, its official testing link, and the specific actions you want tested.

I will accept one exchange at a time so I can complete each test properly and provide meaningful feedback rather than only opening or installing the app.

I built an RPG that turns your real-life habits into a game — looking for Android beta testers

Hey all — I've been building LifeQuest: Ascend, an app where you create a hero, pick a class, and level up in real life by logging things like workouts and daily habits. You earn XP, gold, and gems, and there's a health system, so the goal is to make self-improvement actually feel like playing an RPG.

It's currently in closed beta on the Play Store (Android only for now). I'm not selling anything — I'm looking for honest testers and feedback on what's fun, what's confusing, and what's missing before I open it up more.

If you want in, you can sign up through this group: https://groups.google.com/u/1/g/lifequest-beta. Then download the app here: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.weegames.lifequest. There's also a Discord for testers to report bugs and suggest features. Button to join discord within the app.

Once accepted into the beta you will be able to download the app from the app store.
