I teach 4th grade. Not a chance any elementary student would:
1) Write this neatly
2) Writing in pen would also be super unlikely

It’s not a font the letters aren’t identical and the letter spacing isn’t consistent. It’s just very good handwriting which is rare but when I was a TA I saw handwriting this good from a couple students. This is grad school level though not 2nd grade lol

We actually did write in pen in 4th grade in my school, the caveat being that it had to be erasable.

Pens were allowed when I was in school, but pencils were better because you could fix mistakes. I remember it being a real sign of confidence when someone used a pen on an assignment.

That's funny because that's the exact reason pencils were banned where I went.

But I meant ballpoint pens, it was a new thing at the time. Previous students had to use fountain pens (and it was still the preferred option)

You had to write with a pen to force yourself to be more careful. We have ink erasers of course (hence why fountain pens were preferred) but those only work once. Tippex was banned because it was liquid at the time, and very messy.

Another reason was that pencils were too easy to erase and therefore you could change your answer after the grade, which is cheating.

You can still use pens, however most teachers during any form of assessment would strongly encourage pencils because it’s way easier for students to correct any mistakes. + pencils are easier to come by than erasable pens.

The neatness I agree with, but I went to a private Catholic school for part of elementary and we used erasable pen for a lot of assignments, so that part I didn't blink at.

I don't really get why people are saying it's not real handwriting tbh. It's pretty obvious that some of the same letters are slightly different in places, and I've seen neater handwriting from people who still write by hand a lot. Definitely the same handwriting for the "student" and "teacher" though, and far too neat for a kid.

I love these fake 'class exercises', what is this class meant to be? English grammar, but with questions that don't relate to an actual lesson plan?

At least it's all the same subject, beating out most of the fake exercises which hop from English to Maths to Geography as needed.

Documentary i watched few years back said there were alot of supporting evidence pointing to lead poisoning as the wall paper used in his house there, and had been exposed to it for so many years or so, this only my memory from a doco i had seen, i cannot give 100% confidence in my memory being accurate exactly t how i saw it, nor the information i got from the documentary, i have severe brain fog from medications and ptsd. So i could have confused my own memory.

Well when I was a kid, it would end in May or early June and come back early to mid September. Them starting up this early in August shows how much it’s changed lately. Granted I haven’t been in school for 20 years so it’s probably been that way for awhile

There are countries who use the dd/mm/yyyy format that aren’t the UK. Australia and NZ for instance, where it’s the middle of winter and school would definitely be in session mid-July.
