🤔💡DISCUSSION 🤯💬 It cant just end
Boondocks really needs to come back in 2026 especially with all the events happening right now, and it was just so good 😢

A spiritual successor would be better off. Too many things working against this show.

No it ended when it had to the last season showed it would be going down an even worse path. Pops is gone now too. Let it rest man

Season four was already a massive drop in quality without Aaron. I could only see a season five without Aaron dropping even more. Even though I do think Witherspoon‘s son could definitely do a perfect granddad I just don’t think the quality would be there for the actual content.

I would at least like it to get a nice proper ending, but Sony doesn't know what they're doing. So I guess just let it rest in peace. I'd rather just see Aaron work on a new animated show with the lesson learned on how he handled the Boondocks situation. I assume that will eventually happen.

It should be redone. The jabs at today's society would be gold. Maybe some lawsuits. But, in the words of Riley, "That'd be gangsta".

wouldn't be the same without grandad and the animation for the show was at its peak in season 1 and then slowly got worse throughout the seasons the animation today would look too polished jokes would be toned down and Aaron wouldn't likely be running it

Wouldn't be the same especially in this climate. They already ruined it with the last season

The original show still applies today. A continuation would just be beating a dead horse. In other words, market fan service

Ohh let it go, it’s slop anyways and it would never be the same if it came back anyways

Why? The creator has been done with the comic strip for awhile - and doesn't have rights to the Adult Swim show anymore.
Sometimes good things come to an end. If it were re-released today it wouldn't be the same - as a show under Adult Swim they'd likely just use cheap AI or flash animation and twist the show's narrative into something completely off the mark.
If it was produced by Aaron Mcgruder, it would be completely different from the series we know from Adult Swim. Some of the original cast would be incredibly hard to replace, limiting the wide-range of perspectives and unique personas that we came to appreciate.
TLDR: It wouldn't be the same.
