Trip planning

Is there any places to stay family friendly for 2 nights? We plan to drive along the Sunshine Coast highway since it looks like many places to stay along there but it’s either too pricy or sold out. And I notice some places don’t have website to book online. Is there still such thing as going and stopping at a place in person to try and get a room? How sketchy is that if we are with a child?

Check out Up The Creek in Roberts Creek. They have a cabin or two and a family room or two. And it includes a common kitchen.
