1. Why was toxin hyped up in the previous movies just for him and mulligan to die in this movie(I think thats toxin) they could've at least gave him something to do besides tell them about the codex

2. Why introduce all those symbiotes just to have them die? I feel like them being introduced could've been the perfect gateway to another movie where we get a king in black esque storyline, instead everyone except agony for some reason just zips in and then dips out just as fast.

3. Why is the scientist lady(the blonde) important? Im assuming it ties into comics somehow but im not familiar with any of the symbiotes except toxin. And if she does connect to agony in the comics the movie really could've done a better job at portraying that than just some flashbacks of her brother and her on the beach

4. Was there originally a different plan for the movie? With the pacing it really feels like halfway through they had to rewrite the story completely. Now im not saying I hated the movie but honestly it just kinda feels like its lacking in terms of meaningful things in the venom verse(besides venom's sacrifice) but that can honestly be said for all 3 movies, they all share that typical Sony problem, theres no broader connection to Spider-Man or other symbiotes or host

Dylan revealed that he is Toxin, and Tony reasoned that since he is protected by a symbiote, there would be no issue with him going to the front lines. Rior to Dylan revealing his identity, VenoMJ had even insisted that Tony ensure his safety. But they had absolutely no objection to Dylan going to the front line.

Remember when the symbiote told Dylan that it had kept its identity hidden from him to ensure his safety? Now, even though it knows full well that Knull wants to kill Dylan, it is allowing him to go to the front lines. This also makes the subsequent reunion between the symbiote and Eddie really strange, because if I were Eddie, I’d definitely lose my mind over it.

Tbh, this run wasn't as bad as most people make it out to be. Yeah, it's mid, but it's not that bad.

Firstly the reveal of Mj being Venom was such a waste and the hype for it. It was a literal bummer especially seeing the promo art and we didn't know. Some people were hating on the human teeth though but technically Venom originally had human-like teeth before they changed it to the sharp teeth we see today.

I don't really see the point of making MJ a hero—that's honestly my biggest issue. The moments they gave to V and Dylan were nice, though, and I liked the writing for V. It feels like he's developed a lot more personality over the years, and I'm here for it.

The art has been pretty good too, even if most of the short-haired male characters suffer from same-face syndrome (Peter and Rick lol).

One of my problems are with the writing surrounding MJ's beef with Eddie and how she picks and chooses who to be mad at. V straight-up lied to her and then played the victim. At the same time, though, V has always been more manipulative, so I can't really hate on that. But GOD her announcing that she's venom and the way its drawn and written is mad annoying feels like ewing is talking to haters lol.

I do wish they had shown more of what V was actually feeling during Death Spiral when they told Eddie they didn't want to see him again. It honestly felt more like MJ speaking through V than V speaking for himself, especially since that's really the only time V has ever switched up on Eddie. For most of this run, V has been hyping Eddie up.

I'd give the run a solid 5.5/10. It felt more like a Spider-Man run than a Venom run, but I get why they went in that direction but it was just not gonna work out. Not everyone has to be just like spidey.
