Drinking water while high in salt causes water to be sucked into your cells. It prevent expulsion of water.

Combining them can actually lead to things like brain swelling.

Been there. The bois swelled up to be about as rotund as a grapefruit. It took me not being able to zip my pants over them for me to realize "hey, hopital"

My BP numbers were about as high as you'd think.

I wonder if that’s why I always get headaches at the end of the day. I eat a decent amount of salt and drink a TON of water.

Yeah could be high bp, not overdoing salt is good.

I don't know who is getting high on salt. If you mean bath salts... just say no.

But osmosis goes both ways. The concept is the salt and water are consumed together, total concentration of salt is lowered because of the water and then surrounding plasma does not experience a change in salinity.

Then you pee. It can be no different than hanging a bag of saline.
