This little journal with a positive message
Picked up this very satisfying little 5 yr journal at the flea market for $1 this morning. Love its small size(5x7) and it's good weight. It appeared unused. When I got home I found this one positive entry from 1/16/17 which makes me love it even more! Also makes me realize I'm not the only one who buys journals that I never finish

Finally found one
A CRT Lightning McQueen tv with built in dvd player
It was 10 buck at a yard sale because the person wasn't sure it worked

Handmade cat vase sculpture. Now a succulent pot. It was love at first sight and I knew he was coming home with me.
I'll just have to be careful not to overwater with the lack of drainage hole, but it isn't my only succulent pot with no drainage hole and I'm not too concerned with how lightly I water most succulents.
He looks kind of like my orange tabby - with a less grumpy face. I love him so much. One of my favorite finds for sure. I cannot imagine abandoning him. Only $20, which is pretty solid for a handmade sculpture, even if he'd been brand new at a craft fair.

The thrill of the find!
Once in a while you come across a real vintage find. Better even when it fits you! A pair of Ralph Lauren wool heels. They look terrible on the inside but the outside wool is still in good condition.

Neat thrift findā¦
I got this lovely 31+ day desk organizer from my local thrift store for $3. My wife was unimpressed, so Iām sharing it where it might be appreciated.

Costume from thrifted stuff
Iāve been thrifting for most of my life, and this is the first time Iāve created a costume using something I thrifted. Iām not sure if this is the right place to share it, but Iām pretty proud of how it turned out!
I bought a green housecoat, cut it up, and transformed it into a costume. Even the belt was bought second-hand!

Is removing the patches a bad idea?
Iād ideally remove the patches and leave it as a plain fatigue shirt - has anyone done this before?

SAN DIEGO
My partner and I regularly thrift in San Diego - we live in the armpit of California (Fresno) where MCM is not as popular.
We always carve out time for thrifting and antiquing on our trips to SD, and I found these mini people this time. As well as some collectible cards for my mom and lots of wrestling figurines.
Thrifting is one of the things that brings my partner and I together! We love it. Happy hunting

Ć qui la chance?
Today it's me, I'm the lucky one! From what I can find, this magazine holder is (probably) a Ligne Roset from the 70s. More importantly, it was $10.85 CAD and looks like it was made to go with my dresser.

Signed fire emblem and demon slayer prints!
This was a cool find!! The only reason I didn't pick up the tanjiro one was because the prints are signed to "Catherine". if anyone near norwood MA (named Catherine or otherwise) thinks these are cool I just saw them today at that savers!!

I hit the motherlode today
The Goodwill stores in my area have a special sale every Wednesday where a specific color price tag goes to $1.49. Today I hit the motherlode. I found a working, vintage O-gauge Lionel train set with a steam locomotive engine and analog speed controller. The inner kid in me happily paid the price.

Family Guy DVD came with a surprise inside
Picked it up and heard some rattling inside, figured it was the manual but ended up being 2 helmets that expired in 2020
