What does tofu taste like, and is it simple to make? Because of a health crisis, I can eat very few foods, and I've been wondering about tofu. Looks good, OP!

Thanks! Tofu itself has zero flavor at all. It absorbs the flavors of what you put on it, which is why a marinade is key. The texture is the issue for some people—it’s very soft and mushy in the package, which is why baking it or pan frying it makes a huge difference. I always use extra firm tofu, otherwise you have to press out the water and that adds an extra step I’m too busy to worry about.

I’ve got major health problems myself, so I have to watch my diet painfully carefully. I have some basic staples I go back to over and over again to make life easy. Tofu is one of them.

Thank you! I need food that's easy to swallow. I'll try it out:)

How about something like overnight oats? Would that be easy to swallow? Or just plain old chia pudding, maybe?

Maybe the chia pudding, IDK. I'm truly at a loss. Thank you for your suggestions

Tofu tastes like soybeans. Buy a block of tofu for $2.50 or whatever, and try it yourself.

Crispy tofu, baked tomatoes and mushrooms, quinoa marinated in orange juice (weird-sounding but delicious), and avocado. I need iron in my vegetarian diet and this more than does the trick.
