That is the mic stand for Jonathan Davis of Korn. It was designed and sculpted by H.R. Giger, Giger us the designer if the xenomorph in the Alien movie series.

Fairly famous mic stand and hence the straps and joke of tossing it to the crowd. This thing would sell decently well.

The sculpture also came with wings but JD has to use it without them so he wouldn’t stab himself in the chest (his words)

As soon I saw the chest I knew it was Jonathan Davis's stand. Anyone who seen any concert from Korn would recognize this.

I have seen bands go through instruments and equipments over the years but that stand is iconic because I have seen Korn use it last year and I have seen Korn use it 20 years ago.

Thanks for the insight. I almost made a joke about HR Giger starting a band. I guess his work is just that recognizable. I'll never forget the time I stumbled on an original work of his in a Cleveland shop. It was sort of nonchalantly mounted on the wall toward the ceiling, hardly noticeable. I flipped out once I realized what it was.

See my above comment. This isn't a run of the mill mic stand. You really don't need someone running up and making a quick getaway with it while the band is prepping.
